The simplebar.js process can be removed on that particular page but then the bottom half of the page will be white/blank with just the wording. My email to the theme’s support went unanswered as they mostly do, so there’s not much else I can do about it from my end at the moment unless I start learning how to build a theme with a similar concept myself considering its rarity. If you have another alternative or a fix to the blank background, I would appreciate it if you can share.

Hi @philbuchanan the theme I’m using implements simplebar and simplebar.js, perhaps these are related to the issue?

Thanks @macmanx and you’re just repeating everyone else’s answer which is becoming an extra work for everyone. Let me rephrase this again.

    1. The wording in the FAQ links are not reflecting the true treatment of post deletion SOP of the moderator team.
    2. I am NOT requesting the post deletion. I’ve said from the first post that I quote “Please kindly remove at least the part with the error message” which means just my own reply message to myself.
    3. I acknowledge the low severity of this request, and hence if it is not going to be granted then I am asking for a rewording of the FAQ sections related.

@fierevere thanks for the follow up. However what you referred to i.e. my SEO ranking and my security or privacy were both not what I was worried about at all and were not what prompted the request. If you read my post again you’d notice it more clearly.

Please advise why would I be worried that ww.wp.xz.cn would turn up when searching with that much specifics for a Google search? What I meant was of course just the keyword; the yoursite part at which you’ll find the result in the second page (which is currently higher than the actual domain rank).

    If only that one comment of mine that includes the error message (not the whole post) gets deleted, then Google will rank it further down. And in result;
    1) no one would find the unhelpful link since nobody answered the support question (I marked it as Resolved myself because on my side it was indeed resolved)
    2) from just the keyword search (which most people would do), my domain will be less likely associated with a problem

Again, I know what I’m requesting is not a big deal and hence I am also requesting if this is rejected, the rewording of the FAQs linked above. Instead of supporting a firm statement with flexible sentences just to sound nice, it would be better to just remove the softer part.

    Cheers.

    @t-p Hi, thanks for replying.

I don’t see why it’s relevant for you to copy and paste the FAQ links even though I said I’ve already read them. Here’s why I still requested for deletion of that single post.

We do not delete posts except under extreme situations. By that we mean there’s a legal problem with keeping a link, or personal identifying information, included in the post. Otherwise, we feel that leaving your solved post up will be helpful to the next person who has a similar issue.
I get the first bit, but when it’s further emphasized by the next part it doesn’t leave the reader as sufficiently convinced because it still hasn’t made its final point. I also mentioned that my post won’t be helping anyone.

Keep in mind, even if your post is deleted, Google already scraped it and we can’t fix that. Don’t post anything you’re not willing to have in public forever.
This is true but also not relevant to my case. If it gets deleted and returns an error on Google search results it won’t be ranked high anymore.

Unless it’s a legal or security issue, we do not remove links.

Rest assured, if your URL is listed in the custom field from your post, only logged in users can see it and it is not possible for search engines to scrape it.

I already took precaution to use the custom field but how can I rest assured if what I’m requesting for removal is outside of the field, and the domain name is being shown as part of an error message.

This request may have been too frequently received and I get the reluctance, but please reconsider my request or instead please update the wordings on the relevant FAQ sections. Thanks.

Hi @vmarko yes I am using the feature and it is correctly configured. I’m seeing these in my Rank Math’s 404 Monitor and All In One WP Security & Firewall’s 404 Event Logs. Now it seems that it’s trying the correct link and it still is a 404 error, but previously it was trying for both /page-sitemap.xml and /sitemap_index.xml. I didn’t change the URL in the settings and only reentered the same one.

While I’m at Rank Math topic, can I ask you another thing? Its site analysis feature tells me that W3 Total Cache plugin is visible and it is a security concern. Please advise how I can remedy this.

I have since replaced the plugin with another. Will mark this as Resolved because I’m not looking for an answer anymore. If anyone visits this post with the same issue, it’s better to find a documentation or another forum post. Sorry, if I can delete this I would.

Got it. Marking this as resolved. Thanks for the confirmation.

Hi, thanks for the response. I have deleted the posts with broken formatting. Since I was not able to find the cause then, I couldn’t reproduce the same result when I tested earlier. As advised, I will mark this as resolved for now but will repost if I happened upon it again. Cheers.

    Hi @annaszalkiewicz

As per the title of this support topic, I do not think this issue is actually Resolved as you marked here until the fix is implemented on the next update. The deletion process was interrupted by that error message and I still cannot remove the plugin from the admin dashboard. I’m also unfamiliar with deleting plugins from FTP and not sure if the Notification plugin has written on folders outside of its own.

Is it sufficient to remove only the …/wp-content/plugins/notification folder to manually uninstall?

I just noticed the PHP error happened before the Elementor update. Here’s a more recent JS error. Hope it’s related.

It should be Apache although I have yet to learn how to check. (Edit: I have confirmed this with my host provider)
    MySQL Version : 5.7.29
    and in Host System Logs:
    No system logs were found!

Hi, I’m on the latest version of WordPress and here’s some other details
    PHP Version : 7.4.3
    PHP Memory Usage: 47.76 MB
    PHP Memory Limit : 256M

Sorry I don’t think it is stated anywhere. But if memory is the problem, the issue should have been fixed when I disabled other features as well, if I’m not mistaken? Only this particular checkbox messed with the login and logout page loading speed, as per my basic check.
