In reply to: [WP2Social Auto Publish] Custom Facebook message using the_excerpt filterHi,
The plugin currently applies the the_excerpt filter only to the manual excerpt field (post_excerpt). When no manual excerpt is set, the plugin generates its own fallback excerpt from the first 50 words of the content, and the filter may not be applied to that generated excerpt. This is why you may sometimes see the default 50-word excerpt instead of the value returned by your custom filter. We will review this behavior and consider applying the filter to generated excerpts as well for consistency.Hi,
I have conducted a test from our side using the exact image URL extracted from your post:
https://wszystkoocoachingu.pl/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Nowy-Zarzad-EMCC-Poland-na-kadencje-2026%E2%80%932029.jpgThe result: The image was successfully accepted and processed by the Instagram API in our test environment. Since it works for us but fails on your site, the issue is likely related to your server’s environment or security settings (such as a firewall blocking..).
Keep in mind: Instagram (via API) only supports JPEG/JPG. It may fail to download larger images or timeout during processing if the server connection is restricted.
Hi,
This issue is usually related to the image URL rather than the description.
Please check whether the image URL used in the post is publicly accessible ( without any redirects or restrictions).
Also, try changing the image (upload a new one) and see if that worksIf the issue still persists, kindly share:
- Plugin version
- One example post URL
So we can check this further.

In reply to: [WP Twitter Auto Publish] Impossibile post 503 errorHello,
I have reviewed the “503 Service Unavailable” error you reported. Our technical audit confirms that the plugin code and your OAuth2 authentication are functioning correctly. The error is being returned directly by the X (Twitter) platform.
The Likely Cause: In February 2026, X updated its developer platform structure. Many accounts—especially those on legacy “Free” or “Basic” plans—now require a manual account migration in the Developer Portal to continue posting. When an account is stuck between the old and new system, X often returns a 503 error.
https://devcommunity.x.com/t/announcing-the-launch-of-x-api-pay-per-use-pricing/256476Recommended Steps to Resolve: To refresh your account status, please log in to your X Developer Portal and check for the following:
- Plan Migration: Look for a notice to “Migrate” or “Opt-in” to the current structure (Usage-based). Please check your current plan details to see if there is a requirement to pay or if there are any new usage restrictions being applied to your account
- Permissions Check: Ensure your App settings are still toggled to “Read and Write.”
Please let us know if the issue persists.

In reply to: [Social Media Auto Publish] Publish ID not found in responseHi,
You’re correct that when the posting method is set to “Simple text message”, the plugin does not explicitly attach or upload any media. Only the text content (post title and permalink) is sent.
However, when a permalink is included, platforms like X try to fetch metadata from that URL (such as title, image, or preview information). This happens on the platform side and is not controlled by the plugin. Internally, this preview generation may still involve media fetching, even though no media is attached in the post request.
If you do not require link previews or media fetching from your site, one possible workaround is to block the relevant crawlers via
robots.txt, which will prevent platforms from scraping preview data from the permalink.Alternatively, posting only the text without the permalink will fully avoid any preview or media-related processing.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.

In reply to: [Social Media Auto Publish] Publish ID not found in responseHi,
Thanks for reporting this and for the detailed error message.
This looks like an intermittent response from Threads/Meta’s API, where the media object is no longer available by the time the publish request is processed. Since some posts went through successfully in the same time window, it doesn’t appear to be a persistent configuration issue on your end.
We’ll keep an eye on this and see if it’s something we can reliably reproduce. In the meantime, if it happens again, a retry after a short delay usually works, as these errors are often temporary on the platform side. If you notice any pattern — such as it happening only with certain media types, post lengths, or scheduled vs. instant posts — feel free to let us know. Any extra details help with debugging.
Thanks again for flagging it — we’ll update you if we find anything concrete.
Hi,
Please check WordPress → Tools → Site Health for any timeout-related issues, as these can cause issues.please make sure the “Clear Facebook Cache” option in the plugin settings is enabled once, so Facebook re-fetches your OG tags and images correctly.
After that, try publishing again and see if Facebook picks the correct image.
If the issue persists after these checks, please let us know and we will assist further.- This reply was modified 6 months, 2 weeks ago by aiswaryaxyzscripts.

In reply to: [WP Twitter Auto Publish] App still going strongHi,
The link provided is not our plugin. If you are using our plugin, please ensure that the “Add Twitter cards while posting to Twitter” option on the settings page is set to Yes, and that the “Attach media to Twitter post” option is set to No. This should generate a clickable preview, provided your Open Graph (OG) tag settings are configured correctly. For best results, set it as summary_large_image.
If the OG image is not being fetched, try manually pasting the link into the Twitter post composer. If the OG tags are set correctly, a preview with the image should appear.- This reply was modified 1 year ago by aiswaryaxyzscripts.

In reply to: [WP Twitter Auto Publish] App still going strongHi,
YouTube videos cannot be embedded directly, but you may provide a clickable link instead (optionally with a thumbnail as a preview image).
Regarding licensing, a separate license is required for each standalone domain.Hi,
This issue typically arises when the Twitter app credentials provided are incorrect. Please ensure that the Client ID and Client Secret you’ve entered are accurate.
Additionally, kindly verify the following:
- Have you completed all the necessary setup steps as outlined in the guide: How can I create a Twitter application?
- Is the Callback URI/Redirect URL you provided correct and properly configured in your Twitter app settings? An incorrect callback URL can lead to authentication errors.
- Have you tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin? Sometimes, this can resolve unforeseen issues.
If the issue persists after verifying the above, please let us know—we’ll be happy to assist further.

In reply to: [Social Media Auto Publish] Threads authorize problemHi,
The issue seems specific to your Threads app setup. Please ensure the following:
- Tester Invitation Accepted
- Your Threads account must be added as a Tester in the app’s developer settings.
- Then, log in to Threads and accept the invite under
Settings > Website Permissions.
- Use “Use Case” App Credentials
- Make sure you’re using the App ID and Secret from Use Cases > Customize > Settings, not the general app credentials.
- Redirect URI
- The redirect URI must exactly match what’s in Notes section in the Threads settings page of SMAP.
- It must be HTTPS .
Let me know once you’ve verified these steps or if you need help walking through them.
