Thanks for the quick response.
Well it does somewhat, but doesn’t really explain why it might be identifying these people as spam, and whether there is anything to do to prevent Users being flagged before it happens.
To be honest, I’m not sure what % of Users it’s affecting, as it’s just been reported to me since I got back from vacation this week. I will speak to someone in the business to find out exactly how big an issue this is.
Can you give me any idea on why these Users may be blocked by the Firewall, so we can at least have some more understanding and provide a solution to the User.
And, what should happen if they click on the link provided on the screen? I don’t know, as I haven’t had this experience myself.
Really, I just want to:
a) reduce the friction this can cause, and
b) limit the likelihood of Users giving up on the system, requesting a refund, and leaving a bad review.

We’ve had quite a few of our customers (LMS learners) get in touch to say they are getting this message when working on their courses – https://app.screencast.com/o604VRCCPcIIL
Apart from telling them to clear their cache, what can we do to ‘manage’ this situation so that our customers don’t get this negative experience?
Or is it something on their end that we can make them aware of that is causing them the issue?
To fully understand ‘Why’ they are getting this message would be very helpful.
Otherwise, the plugin is doing a fantastic job of eliminating the 100’s of Spam User accounts that were being added every week to our website 🙂

Thanks for your response.Unfortunately I can’t show you a screenshot of the issue as I have now deactivated & deleted the plugin and used a different method to display a carousel on this particular site. I am still using your plugin on another 2/3 sites however as I have no reason to try and edit them right now.
All I really have for you is the WordPress Serious Technical Issue notification I shared above and say that everything seem to work OK in the backend until I attempted to Edit a page and then I had a error message appear and I couldn’t access ANY page (not just the one where the carousel was displayed) to edit the page. As soon as I deactivated the plugin I could access them as normal.

The issue was a conflict with another plugin, Advanced Dynamic Pricing for WooCommerce.
Luckily for me it had already been identified by someone else and the other plugin developer issued an Update a couple of days ago. Once I’d applied this then everything was working as it should again.

Thanks for the response once again.
Actually the hosting company removed them for me as they looked into the files and said they hadn’t changed since 2020 and didn’t look like they were doing anything. The site seems fine so I assume all is good.
In Wordfence I’ve just checked and changed all these highlighted issues as ‘Ignore until file changes’. Will these mean the highlighted issues will disappear by themselves or should I just keep an eye on them for a few days and manually remove if the last date (22nd October) doesn’t change?

I did contact the Theme Developer but they said that because they were WordPress files rather than Theme files, to contact our hosting company.
I’ve done that now and awaiting a reply but in the meantime can I ask…
If I have to Delete the files myself is it just as ‘good’ to do it from the Wordfence Dashboard on our site as is through C-Panel of File Manager etc

Hope this helps in identifying the problems and finding a solutionThank you for the latest update to 5.0.4 but this has only solved issue 1) – I can now Save any amendment to an existing Form.

– and for issue 2) more concerningly to me “your server is blocking the REST API request. Maybe Mod Security. Ask your hosting provider to disable mod security for REST API.”
I didn’t have to take such action in the previous version so can these issues not be resolved within the plugin itself?
