Thank you for the reply. I did as you suggested, and all is well. However, I wonder if it is possible to add codes for different weights. For example, if someone wanted to buy four items from me, the weight would exceed the 500 grams I have coded now. I have added this to my settings:
500|2.00|1
500|8.00|2
500|14.00|3
1000|4.00|1
1000|14.00|2
1000|22.00|3… but it still only calculates the price for the weight up to 500 grams.
Is there any way to calculate the weight if it goes over 500g?
Thank you.

In reply to: Two navigation menus showing up on my siteMany thanks for the quick reply.
I deactivated all the plugins, but the problem persisted. I then switched to the default Twenty Fifteen theme and the problem is gone – however, there is NO navigation menu there at all.
Is it possible that I did something to the nav menu while using another theme than the one I am currently using – and that this is still affecting my site (even though I have switched themes)? – Or would this mean that the theme I am experimenting with is interfering with something?

In reply to: Re-installing/upgrading with FantasticoThen I’ll have to change the URL. I want basically the same content, same URL, but an upgraded version of WP.

In reply to: Re-installing/upgrading with FantasticoThanks – but this is in a subdirectory.

In reply to: Re-installing/upgrading with FantasticoOh, really?
OK, that’s not such a huge deal. However, in that case, can someone tell me what I need to delete from the subdirectory before I can attempt a re-installation via Fantastico?

In reply to: Search form won’t show up in sidebar – am completely mystified!Yes there is.
Is it possible that it’s something to do with the widgets I’m using on http://www.icelandweatherreport.com? That’s the only thing that’s different between the two sites in this sidebar.

In reply to: Importing archives from Blogger if published to my own domain?lhveiga – thanks for the link – I’d come across it too, but it only seems to work with older versions of WordPress.
Haloscan is a comment service that is very often used by bloggers (especially on Blogger blogs) – it has features that Blogger’s comment system doesn’t have, like smilies. You can see it in action on my old blog, here: http://www.icelandweatherreport.blogspot.com (click on the ‘degrees celsius’ link(s).

In reply to: Sitemap XML could not be writtenHi,
I’m having the same issue. I’ve uploaded the two files to my public_html folder and used different varieties of CHMOD – 777, 755, 666. Still, no dice. It’s not working.
I pressed the debug link, and got this message:
MySQL Queries
Please edit wp-db.inc.php in wp-includes and set SAVEQUERIES to true if you want to see the queries. What exactly does that mean, and is this something that will help me solve the problem?
Thank you!

In reply to: Assigning categories to postsOk ok, if you want to get all literal about it! I’d still have to allow for recovery times for the tendons in my wrist, though. 😉
I’ll check out the plugins. Thanks for the tip.

In reply to: Assigning categories to postsYes, well, the time-consuming part is what I hoped to avoid. :-/
I’ve got 800+ posts to wade through. Going the manual route might take me years!

In reply to: 2.5.1 Image/Media Uploader problemsHello,
I’m new to WordPress and have been having the same problems as everyone else with uploading images – despite not having upgraded to 2.5.1.
I understand that uploading the no-flash plugin will fix the problem, but will that prevent me from uploading flash images to my site in the future? I want to offer ads, so that solution would not work for me.
Grateful for any help. Thanks.
