    Hey Tomontoast,

    Thanks for your quick reply.

I tried other plugins but still its showing warning but this time I noticed that when I activate plugin I get the above warning and when I reach to plugin page on dashboard I can already see plugin activated.

    Hey Tony,

First of all you need not worry about this much. This wont create any issues on your design part. But still as I checked you have kept your site under maintenance which is the best thing you have done as your website wont be now exposed to SQL injections if there are any.

Yes the error which you got is something WordPress developers have made it purposely so that all plugin developers who don’t make use of safe SQL queries will come to know how their queries are not safe for users using their plugins.

The plugin which has caused this error is “Velvet Blues Update Url” so the only thing you have to do now is, just visit the plugin developer site and try to inform him through contact form or by mailing him to his email-id given on his site about the above error and also give him the below mentioned link and tell him to check it.

PHP Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare()

He himself will rectify his query error and soon you will get an update for your plugin. And don’t worry your site won’t break even if you keep it online.

I hope I have explained it well,

    Thanks,
    Amish Mhatre
