It was a combination of two things – the first was the Order Actions box had somehow been disabled and the second was a simple collapse able arrow in the top right hand screen of the New Order meant the Create Order button did not appear – so by reinstating them both the create order option was available again

Please make sure to enable the Order Actions option so the Create Order button appears. Here’s how you can enable it:

    1. On the Add New Order screen, click the Screen Options tab at the top right corner of the page.
    2. In the dropdown panel, make sure the Order Actions checkbox is checked.
    3. Close the Screen Options panel, and you should now see the Order Actions box on the page.
    4. Add the order details and then click the Create Order button.

Thanks again for your help and I am very happy to provide a review for the forum

I am afraid this is not closed at all – this was the response I sent on this forum to someone called Moses several days ago !

Moses – I sent a reply Thursday and still have heard nothing back from anyone

I have copied the response I sent there

    1. My WordPress admin dashboard confirms me under [email protected] as a Administrator

    2. Here is the link to the loom video of me trying to add an order manually – this used to work perfectly

    3. Under WooCommerce status logs there are no fatal errors but under scheduled actions there appear to be several that have failed during the course of updates in the last 3 months

I will wait to hear from you

    Thanks

Ok I have followed your instructions and switched to a WordPress theme Twenty Twenty Five – then run the conflict test by deactivating ALL the Plugin’s apart from WooCommerce and I still cannot create an Order Manually with WooCommerce –

Re Unable to Load Orders Manually

The first line of your standard troubleshoot and plugin conflicts instruction says

“Switch to a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Twenty Five to see if the issue persists ”

For a Non Technical person like me – How do you Switch to a Default WordPress theme???????????

Is it not possible for someone to look at this remotely if I give access – last year I had the same issue and it was resolved by me paying someone to do exactly this under what I believe was called a White Glove facility?

Ok I have deactivated all the Plug Ins apart from Woo Commerce as WP Admin does not allow me to deactivate that one ( I lose Woo Commerce as a result) and even though all the other Plug Ins have been deactivated I still cannot load an order Manually !

Ok I have found the Plug Ins and found there were some updates to be done – which I have left overnight but they are still running and have not been updated. There are 13 PlugIns in total and I now get an error message which reads:

“You have multiple WordPress image optimisation plugins installed. This may cause unpredictable behaviour while optimising your images, inaccurate reporting, or images to not display. For best results use only one image optimiser plugin at a time. These plugins may cause issues with Smush:”

The WooCommerce update appears to have gone through remotely but I am still not able to add an order Manually and I need to be able to – I could do this before with no issue

Thanks for replying – but the add order function within WP Admin simply does not work any longer – when I save it does not create an order – there is no error message as such either. i don’t think its as a result of the latest upgrade but I am not sure
