ok I now realize that my last question was a bit naive. The ‘fix’ doesn’t fix the expired link problem, but if I disable fix, the extended views plugin deativates, and then I’m able to modify events. then I just turn back on the FIX and everything displays properly. so thank you for the patch. I didn’t really want to give them money for switching up on us users (free <> paid)
ok you’re exactly dealing with what I’m dealing with. I’ll try your last suggestion and get back to you. I’m assuming I put all-in-one-event-calendar-extended-views-fix.php in my theme folder? or in the plugin folder?
I was about to buy the subscription. Timely got back to me about with this message:
“as of October 15, 2019 the Extended Views addon is no longer free. If you would like to activate the Extended views please click HERE and follow the link to Get the Extended Views. Once the subscription is purchased it will automatically re-activate.”
But I was hesitant because I was willing to bet that I would still get the expired link error even after getting the subscription.
Thanks again for your dedicated attention to this problem.- This reply was modified 6 years, 3 months ago by augustjohnston.
Can you think of a way that I can easily have the site manager turn and turn off this patch without editing the functions.php file everytime? I ask because Extended views plugin has been giving me a “the link you are following has expired” error when I try and save an event.
2.5.32
Which fix is working for sure? the funtions.php fix? even with a child theme? I’ll try it again.EDIT: ok ok I was editing the wrong installation of wordpress. Stupid ISP restored a backup and redirected the http root to the “backup” directory… instead of the original public_http root directory. it’s working now! thank you so much.

I also tried your edit of the handler.php file with seemingly no changes.
I’m going to guess Timely figured out a way around this fix. everything points back to their paid subscription page. I realized I’m using an older version of the plugin, which might explain why the timely dashboard (on their site) shows my installations as “inactive” with a red dot under the “status” column. Of course I made sure I was logged in on the settings page.- This reply was modified 6 years, 3 months ago by augustjohnston.
I tried both instances your code in both my main theme’s function.php file AND my child theme Functions.php and neither seem to have any affect. am I missing something?

`I’m trying to re-arrange the details view so that the logistical data (event meta) is on the bottom (under the event description).
But I’m a bit confused as to what files to edit (or copy and edit). The instructions on THIS page are confusing. the main reason being “single-event.php” doesn’t exist anywhere in the Vortex theme, as mentioned in the last sentence.
Please advise.
thankyou so much

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] All-in-One Event Calendar on Single PageLooks like that sharing bar is either from your theme template or a social sharing plugin, and not by Time.ly.
However, you can turn it off via CSS.CSS trick: Find a unique Div ID or Class associated with that block and use it like this (assuming the unique style is something like “social_bar”):
.social_bar {display:none;}
If you have a live URL that I can see, I could give you the exact CSS.
I’m using 4.7.2 with no problems.
