Regarding the issue with the widget area displaying the error message, please use the Classic Widget plugin which will fix the issue on your end. Here is the link to the plugin: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/classic-widgets/

The issue seems to have been occured from the cache of your site. Can you please clear the site cache and check if the issue fixes or not!

If the issue still persists even after clearing the cache, can you please check once by switching the theme from ColorMag Child to ColorMag Parent and see if the image sizes get back to normal size or not?

While checking you have set the sidebar layout to be full width instead of assigning the Left Sidebar on the homepage. In-order to do so, please follow the guideline: https://docs.themegrill.com/colormag/docs/manage-sidebar-area-layout/ and set the default layout to be the one using Left Sidebar. This will display the Left sidebar on your end.
