  • I love this StageShow plug-in.
it is no longer maintained and has compatibility issues with the latest PHP and WordPress releases. Security is an important thing so not updating is a no go for me.
So I had to switch to seatreg. It works fine albeit in a different workflow. I can not go in to this here because that is another plugin.
so support and questions neet to be addressed over there. It is a valid alternative.

because it is an android app and not a WordPress plugin?

I’ve done the bulk of the translation in Dutch (Brelgium).
it should bre done by using ww.wp.xz.cn

    https://translate.ww.wp.xz.cn/

choose your language and search your plugin

Here you can translate it. It needs to be approved. So you will need to inform the responsabele for your language.

So do I, but if the 99$ developer fee is to steep… what is the next best thing?

Finding a Mac developer that is willing co-opt to submit the app?
That would make submission almost free.

I’ just looking to what is alternatively possible.

Still think web based is better than nothing at all! I know that it is possible to grand options upon user permissions. ( even create specific rights with a separate user roll) this could allow specific access to the search function (only if granted by the website owner) and even deny access to alter things.
So security should not be a problem, I think.

It also would make it possible to scan with multiple devices and register the location and time of scanning.

I Know a different app that allowed to do that. ( Sadly It has become obsolete because it is no longer maintained by the developer)

    perhaps a solution ( or a stupid idea) :

Can’t it be done by creating a barcode look- up that is web based? with the need of an elevated log-in to access the page. The lookup only presents the name and reservation details. No access to alter the info)

Hi, it works with element or (I’m using it)

On the designated page for seatreg edit it in elementor and add the shortcode block to the page and enter the shortcode.

You can even add multiple rooms to one page by using the designated shortcodes.

On top of the page you can create a menu and use ankers to swiftly jump to the correct room.

Extra info for those who wish to!

Translation of plug-ins in general are no longer done with a po and mo file!

you need to register on The WordPress Slack (free) as a translator in your language team (Polyglots) . Search the plug in and translate, submit the translation and get approved!

The Polyglots team can be reached at thePolyglots P2 and on the #polyglots channel on the WordPress Slack.

first of all, if your website is in the correct language settings( in your case Nederlands – België) it should be in Dutch. The plug in is already translated. Be careful Nederlands is not the same and not yet translated. They use different language frases.

Also you do not need to create your seats over and over again.
You can create a template room and duplicate it. It will be duplicated with the layout and prices intact.

the e-mail thing I have to leave to someone else. For now I use the standard settings.

I did delete an old one and entered it again with prices in backoffice.
I can confirm that the pdf is available now, so this issue is resolved.

p.s. yesterday I made you a gift so you can buy some ☕️ ☕️

how about using the user information provided on log-in. This makes registration required end provide mishap.
you can always opt for an extra field with extra user information

booker info required (log in) and seat user optional.

after all it is the logged in user that pays the bill

The page without Elementor was only working on the main page. After selecting that went wrong as well.
Found out why, there is also a conflict with Query Monitor. Once that was disabled, the standard page seems to be working fine.

So version 10 has three conflicts: Elementor, Smush and Qoery Monitor.

Because of the test on your trial site was O.K. I did some further testing of my own.

Roll back to 9.6 and everything works.
    Updated again – problem reoccurs

    I work within Elementor. (/stageshow/)
So, I made a test page outside elementor.
    (/test-stageshow/)
    The problem persists.

    Plug-in conflict search
No other plug-in than Stageshow – no problem
Smush activated – Problem is reoccurring.

Smush deactivated and Elementor pro activated – Problem is reoccurring within Elementor page.
the page without Elementor is working as it should.

You can contact me over the contact form. No problem.

I will adapt the menu temporarily to the non Elementor page so that clients can book and we can test further.

In reply to: [SeatReg] payment methods

I understand your reluctance to install yet another payment method.
Fist of all I like to be clear on this: I can’t use any of them due to the fact that we are not a registered business (just PayPal that I can use). We are only a small acting group. So, I’ve no direct intrest in the matter.
Still i can only support the demand for Mollie due to its market share in Europe and the supported cards. Also they use a fair pricing settings.
(I use it for a non governmental organization that has no need for this plugin)
It would cover all your basis for a large part of the world.

So, maybe, just maybe… can you take a look at it without promises?
