In reply to: Menu: Child pages under parent-pages when hoverThanks for figuring this out Lorenzone. I’m not sure where you found this, but maybe you could post a link here for the next person to use?

In reply to: Menu & child issuesHey, Kent. I just checked out the site and all seems to be as it should – at least in IE8. Maybe you are struggling with another browser? What version of WP and Theme are you using?

In reply to: 3.01 Update – Failed and stuck! PLEASE Fix your upgrade!Blackagave, you are a genius. I too have been struggling with 3.0 and 3.0.1 – but only on one installation of the 18 I work on. I’ve been putting off dealing with the manual install – dumb I know – but this trck worked like a charm.
Thanks for the tip.

In reply to: Dashboard > Users : Fatal ErrorHi, Josh. I updated from 2.9.2 to 3.0 and it went through OK. When I went to look at installed plugins, I got a different fatal error: Fatal error: Call to a member function add_rewrite_tag() on a non-object in /home/content/25/4887925/html/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 289.
Rolling back the site to archive now. Any hints on what I did wrong?

In reply to: Suffusion theme : drop down menuI looked at menus. The problem here for me appears to be that each time I add a new category, I’d have to manually add it to the menu. I’d be OK with that, though my client will ideally not want to work that hard when I turn his site over to him. I really like the concept you have in categories where I can “use all ignoring next option.” Yet none of the categories are showing in the nav bar at askeliclark.com. Any other ideas?

In reply to: Suffusion theme : drop down menuI’m on 3.0. I have each post assigned to one category, but none of them show. I guess I’ll have to learn about this menu thing you talk about.

In reply to: looking for specific designSuffusion and Atahualpa are the most flexible. You’ve got a lot of requirements here. Either will get you close, neither require you to have feedburner or Twitter, and you should buy the author at least a cup of coffee for their trouble.
Beyond that, if it HAS to look like you mention, you need to pay for the theme. Shouldn’t break the bank to do so, particularly if you let the designer post the theme for others to use.
Good luck.

In reply to: blog questionHi, Dasha. I see a couple of work arounds.
1. Add in a cool slideshow plug in like Grand Flash.
2. Have a post that is formatted the way you mention that then has a link to a static page that has the whole story on it.
3. Have a post that is formatted the way you mention and then host the rest of the pictures at a place like flikr.Hope this helps.

In reply to: Suffusion theme : drop down menuThanks for the tutorial Sayontan, and the theme. I really want to love it. But as with the others on this thread. I’m not able to see categories in the main nav. Home page and all pages are there. Links show too. But no categories. My site is askeliclark.com to see what I’m talking about. I’ve selected to show the main nav, show top level cats, and show all ignoring next option. Advice?

In reply to: Atahualpa – adding “wallpaper” and background imageHey, Mo G. Did you find this yet. In Theme Options, go to Body, Text, and Links. It goes in the big box.

In reply to: Good traffice but very low page impressions? You might upgrade to better stats from Analytics instead of AdSense. Then you’ll know more about where the traffic is coming from. There are several plugins to facilitate that and another to put the stats on your WP dashboard.
