My page-editing screen differs from yours. Where yours shows the “Sidebars” panel you’ve highlighted, mine displays a static image.

I’m developing this site under localhost, so I can’t include links. Let me give a further example of my problem.

Suppose that Post A is about Domestic Mediumhaired Cats and is filed under the category “Cats.” Further suppose that I have the plugin set up to show a sidebar display of related posts from that same category. At present, the related post listing would include Siamese, Angora, Maine Coon, Cornish Rex — and Domestic Mediumhair. IOW, the post one is viewing shows that same post as a related item in the sidebar.

That’s redundant and looks really weird. How do I avoid it? Must I construct a post-specific exclusion for each post?

Adding a trailing slash to custom permalinks does not work. The page help for General settings and the Codex itself both state that WP removes trailing slashes from those settings. That wasn’t always the case.

I set the “Home” page up to skip its title because I want the page in the menu.
