In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] amazon policy on posting links in reviewsI am new at this, I learned that cloaking redirects the affiliate link to another url, I am not really sure if this is necessary now.

In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] amazon policy on posting links in reviewsGoing through the blogs for my host,
this appears to be a wordpress plugin that would deactivate the competing affiliate links under certain circumstances:

In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] amazon policy on posting links in reviewsI would like to emphasize that the blogs will be heavy on discussion, with no marketing in the blog other than the affiliate links for Amazon and vendor(s) marketing video/audio lecture courses.

In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] amazon policy on posting links in reviewsThese are the links on the customer review policy:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201929730
https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=202094170These guidelines do not EXPLICITLY forbid posting a link to a blog that discusses topics related to the book. The blog will contain affiliate links to both Amazon and to other vendors marketing courses, and links to YouTube sites that are public and have no affiliate links, as they are non-profit.
BUT… these guidelines could be interpreted to forbid what I am trying to do.
The advantage to Amazon is the blog will generate discussion and interest and could result in additional sales, although there might be a fear that the blog would generate commissions to me on leads I did not generate. So again, I really need to make an effort to make the Amazon reviews a SECONDARY rather than a primary source of clicks.
I would like to talk to someone and get a ruling on this, I have heard horror stories of people who have been banned by huge vendors for honest marketing efforts without the ability to appeal the decision to anyone.
My affiliate code is seekingvirtue-20

In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] Amazon keys not registeringI generated another set of access keys, that worked.
I had also deactivated and activated the plugin, although that probably had no effect.
So I am working now.Forum: Plugins
