The update appears to have resolved both of the issues I reported. Thank you!

Yes, my own site cgscomputer.com has this issue. You can see it easily on this post: https://cgscomputer.com/how-to-create-a-sticky-header-with-the-free-astra-wordpress-theme/
You’ll see many of the commenters have the same profile image – the image showing is that of the most recent guest author instead. Gravatar images still work, which is why my replies in these comments have my correct profile image. If I disable the plugin, the profile images go back to what they should be.
Also even in the discussion settings on the back end, you can see the other issue I mentioned – where all the default Avatar selections are replaced with an identical image. This also happens only when the plugin is enabled and you can view the image here https://cgscomputer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Comparison.jpg
Finally – I’m using the Astra theme on both sites, however I’ve switched them both to twentytwenty for testing and disabled every single plugin other than Molongui Authorship to test. Even with TwentyTwenty and all other plugins disabled, the issue is there – and can be resolved by disabling the plugin.
@ctaylor30 well I’m glad that I’m not the only one!
I also discovered what appears to be another bug – if you edit a page in Elementor, after you update the page from the Elementor editor, the display author box setting gets automatically set back to default and it removes the other assigned to the page (page shows no author even on the back end).
They’re releasing updates like crazy right now, so I’m confident they’ll get all this stuff fixed as long as people actually take the time to report the issue.
The setting for Only on Posts is already set. The insertion still happens on all pages. I have a development version of the same site which also behaves this way.
My only workaround right now is to manually hide the author box in pages by changing the override setting in each page (thanks for having that ability).

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Image Optimization Not Working after UpdateYes auto request cron is enabled. I’m thinking that this was a transient issue server-side at Quic because I had multiple sites not working and they all just started working on their own without any changes on my side about an hour ago.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] After 4.0 Update Can’t Get Rid of BannersThanks for the responses. Actually this did eventually clear up – the banner didn’t subside until the importing of old orders into the new system was complete in the analytics section. Unfortunately, the importer there has no progress indicator of any kind and took quite a while to complete.
This process could be done better.
@serafinnyc I had already updated the database, my screenshot even shows that. It was the “thanks for updating” that wouldn’t go away.

In reply to: [WP Activity Log] E_ERROR@robert681 just an FYI, this also occurred on another site of mine. This one doesn’t have any ‘heavy’ plugins and the error only occurred when doing a purge all on my cache. Same error message though referencing a PHP memory exhaustion on /wp-content/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/classes/Sensors/Database.php.
I bumped the PHP memory from 256MB to 512MB and that resolved the issue. May be worth nothing though, that something has changed with this plugin seeming to be the common denominator. Everything appears to be working normally though after the memory adjustment.
Yup. I am testing Google Site Kit. It’s run by Google, they already have all my info, a tad clunky on the setup, but it does work.
@wimmerstefan I am currently testing Google Site Kit on some of my sites. The reports aren’t as good, but at least I don’t have to hand my info off to anyone (other than Google of course, who already know everything about everyone anyway).

In reply to: [WP Activity Log] E_ERRORHey Robert thanks for the quick reply.
I do believe I’ve figured this one out, at least for now. After enabling WP Debugging with the client’s permission, I was able to determine that the WP Memory was being exhausted. Had to bump it from 128MB to 512MB in order to resolve the issue. I’m not sure what has changed that suddenly the system needs 3x more memory than it used to, but I do update plugins as soon as updates are available so it could be any number of conflicts. No new plugins have been installed – just so happens your plugin was the only one that kept turning up in the logs. I don’t see any indication of other resources such as CPU increasing though – just seems to be memory.
For the record, on this site, there are 3 monster plugins – WooCommerce, JetPack, and Paid Memberships Pro (latest versions). The customer also purchased extensions for WooCommerce and Paid Memberships Pro, each extension counts as an additional plugin so the plugin count for this site way higher than what I’d normally consider appropriate (like 40) – but the large majority of these extensions are not much more than small code snippets. The site runs on PHP 7.3. It’s still odd though, all of these have been running for almost 2 years with base memory and I’ve had no issues until now.
I’ll keep monitoring for any additional error messages, but haven’t had a problem ::knock on wood:: since I upped the memory.
Sent. Thank you.
Can you tell me what your email support address is so I can do this? I see it nowhere here or on your website.
@dswebnew I was hesitant to try Rank Math in the first place because I didn’t like having to sign up and create yet another free account to manage just to use it. Yoast didn’t do that. This is just another thing pushing me back to the old standard. After my initial comment, I also realized you must go back into Rank Math and reauthorize a lot of your Google connections.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Unable to enter payment details at Woocommerce checkoutGlad to see it’s working. I know that Autoptimize (if that’s what you’re using) actually has a setting to exclude checkout pages from optimization – which is not set by default. So if you don’t uncheck the box, it will minify everything on the cart which does break some things periodically. I have it disabled totally for my cart page (no reason to cache any of that really).
