Not on Facebook. Do you have any other sources?

I would’ve thought bringing a question about WordPress plugins to wordpress forums would be the ultimate place to reach the most amount of potential experience.

My intention was this… I need to find a forum where experts reside, that have a vast knowledge of the different available plugins, so that I can potentially find the one that works best for my needs.

Since there is no actual forum where the main topic is plugins, can you suggest for me, a place where I might be able to gain the best audience that could help me with this challenge I have?

    Thank you!

    @joyously – Follow this link – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/forums/

Go to the bottom of the page where the heading is “Themes And Plugins”

And this is what’s written there.

    Themes and Plugins
Looking for help with a specific theme or plugin? Head to the theme or plugin’s page and find the “View support forum” link to visit the theme or plugin’s individual forum.

Note, the words “View Support Forum” are quoted specifically. That is why I thought there was a forum for plugins.

I was going to claim the same thing… 🙂 Once you reach a certain level of awareness on the web, it’s going to happen. One of the greatest things to remember is that spam protection isn’t static. That’s one of the realities that I had to face as well.

Whenever there’s a “system” minds will be working to crack the code. Once they do, they get passed it. Then, the organization works hard to close those vulnerable holes and the vicious cycle starts all over again.

Until the world stops “rewarding” hackers by offering them jobs for their successful attempts, we’re going to have to endure these issues. I’m still a fan of Singapore’s effective deterrent of one of our American citizens back in 1994.. 🙂

I say we catch the hacker, send them to Singapore for judgment, and then we’re assured they find a new career!

LOL But then again, I’m an X-Army NCO, so what do I know!

Thanks Jan, I use GoDaddy and have had a conversation with them before about this. Seems like there is no php.ini in my file manager. They had to make some changes with the .htaccess file, and after they finished we still had issues. We finally just uploaded in file manager and extracted.

But the plugin I am attempting to upload “DroidPress” won’t properly extract and automatically be recognized in WordPress as a plugin. So having some difficulty with this new beta version they have…

I’d really like clarification on this. Newbie with just enough knowledge to be considered dangerous.. 😉 I want my website to have a separate sub-domain as well. The greatest challenge I have, is knowing how to actually begin setting it up.

I know how to create the sub-domain. I’m with GoDaddy, and so I use my CPanel to do that. Once I create it, do I have to install the main WordPress theme first, then add the mobile pack? Or is the mobile pack a standalone?

Also, is there something I have to do to my regular site for it to know to redirect user to the mobile site when they browse using a mobile phone?

Once I get it installed, I can play around and learn it. That’s the easy part. What I care the most about is that I start out with a healthy foundational install and setup process…

Thank you in advance for any information that you help me with.

David, I think you’ve done a great job in attempting to help this person, and I can see that you really want to make sure that his issues are resolved. Kudos on you for that effort!

The one thing that he did mention though, which I don’t see followed up on is his bullet point:

“Support forum not even open now to try to address these bugs, and looked through past topics, no signs of answers to these either”

I like the GREAT options and pre-built templates you guys have designed, but as a starting rookie, I will be LOST without proper guidance and help.. 🙂 Can you verify if your forums are “active” or not? And if not, is there another method of attempting to get the help and support we need? ie, YouTube video tutorials, etc?

    Thanks David!

Marking resolved by rdellconsulting’s GREAT help, and the link he submitted for me to follow….

HOLY CRAP!!!! – I changed the “www” based upon a youtube video where someone talked about having it present…. I read this link you sent me, and one person there talked about this EXACT issue!

If anyone else sees this issue, fallow rdellconsulting’s link above and then scroll down to thomastoailoa post on that page. I did that, and BAM, it’s working just fine!!

Thanks rdellconsulting… WordPress may be easy, but the trouble you can get into, isn’t…. 🙂

VERY INTERESTING! – I just received an email that I hadn’t read prior to my comment here. It was asking me if I had recently done a flash update or some other “internet browser” related update.

I had used both internet explorer and Google Chrome and got the same result from both of them. Is it possible this could be related to flash or java?

If so, please advise, I’ll do an uninstall and reinstall of all “plugins” associated with general web browsing….

First, Thank you for the reply….

I checked with my host provider and they noted that it was not happening due to anything on their side. It seemed to come from the themes package “customizr” itself. Or, so they believed it did.

Also, I noted that I did not have any additional plugins other than my ERP software package plugin for CRM and ecommerce, so I called them as well. After about 30 minutes of looking at the problem, they too believed it was the theme and noted that the plug in I was using was correctly installed and functioning as it should.

We both know that sometimes companies look for a way to prove its not them, instead of what’s wrong. So I know how to keep an eye on whether they’re helping me troubleshoot or trying to remove themselves from accountability. 🙂

I tend to believe them since it only happens when I click on the “customiz’it” button which takes me to their specific customizations for the theme package.

I’m going to attempt to post this on their support site as well, but I always like to get the great depth of experience from ww.wp.xz.cn first. I just find the answers here are much more robust and usually without any biased opinion.. 🙂

I am almost halfway through setting up my website and looks like my Monday deadline is now shot.. LOL
