    Hello James

I try to explain now a bit better =).
I installed just some minute ago Zerif Lite Theme and ZBlackBeard Theme.

I activate it and go to Appearance – Customize. When i click Customize i get forwarded to the Website which ist filled with images and some text like “ONE OF THE TOP 10 MOST POPULAR THEMES ON ww.wp.xz.cn”. On the left side i see a Side Bar where i can change that specific title to example Hello my friend and then i press on the top the blue button Save and Publish. Then it gets saved. But when i upload all my files to the Server that Text that was Hello my Friend is again One of the top 10 most popular themes on ww.wp.xz.cn. Also as example if i have changed the logo through my logo it will be again the Zerif Theme logo.

And now i just noticed that it happens to zerif theme and to Zblackbeard theme. So i think something i make wrong but i can’t really find out what. I tryed to export the files with like 3 tutorial videos so far and it is always the same result.

    Hello

I export the whole wordpress database and also i change the local adress to the server adress with replacing all before i import it. Also i upload the whole wordpress folder. I change also the wp-config file with the correct username db and pw.
Is it possible that im editing somehow maybe a sample page that gets reseted when i upload it?

    Hello James

With manual way i mean, when i follow the guide that you have posted. The PHP changes i made are visible. All text and images not….what is not directly connected? Im getting really frustrated. Since 2 days im trying to solve this now… :/

    Hello

    Thanks for your help James.
Im not using any chaching plugin and i also don’t see any =).

I deleted today everything and worked only with the parent theme.
I went to Customize – Appearance and then i was on the website. There i could change the text/images with the side-bar.
When i upload it with Duplicator Plugin or with the manual way all text and images are set to default.

I have slowly the feeling that im not editing the website correct? Still i don’t understand why the changes stay locally but on server they get back to default.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your answer.
I have copied everything and also tryed that way from the wordpress guide and also the one with the Duplicator plugin which seems to be very popular and good rated.

I have noticed last night that it happens only to the child theme. When i do changes on the parent theme on the server everything gets changed also the text. On the child theme css changes works too but every text change i do doesn’t work online only local. I don’t understand why. Maybe it has something to do with the frontend side bar from the zerif theme?

Edit: Text changes work online on child theme also but when i do a local text change and upload it the changes are not more there.

    Thanks alot for your help…

    Hello

    Thanks for your Answer.

I have tryed the Duplicator plugin like 3 times and the text is still set to default. Now at once the top bar where the logo is changed from white color to black and i have changed nothing more on the theme?

I think i will try to uninstall everything again..and i hope that it will work then..i can’t understand why on local it’s good and not on server. Now i really hoped it will work with duplicator but not even with that :/

Edit: I just noticed that this happens only on the child-theme. On the parent Theme the original one if i do any changes they will be oline.

But why locally the child theme is fine but not online? What im missing? I did only the css file enqueue with functions.
