In reply to: [bbp style pack] Users aren’t receiving notification emailsIn think maybe weare talking of two diffrent things. Please allow me to explain.
Say someone strated a thread(topic). 20 people replied to that thread. Each with one reply. I call the individual replies “posts”. As i undersatnd it, one can and usally subscribes to threads, not individual posts on a thread.
What i was asking eralier is, if one person decided to respond to a particular post out of the 20 replies ( on the thread) and clicks opn the reply button which is on upper right corner of each indicidual post (on the thread), my understanding is the author of that individual post will be notified. Do i undersatnd it correctly?

In reply to: [bbp style pack] Users aren’t receiving notification emailsMy bad. The @ function is working (received) as well as the “test email” received fine. It is just they went all to the spam folder which is why i didn’t see them
But the bbpress reply function (on the top right corner of every post) i am not sure. Are users supposed to get a notification email when an user chooses to reply to their posts by using the particular reply?
Thanks

In reply to: [bbp style pack] Users aren’t receiving notification emailsHello @emma24
The hook you provided worked. If the hook works does it tell you something? What seems to be the problem that the hook fixed? Thanks
Like i said i have been using the plugin for years and only recently i noticed the customized width of the login form changed on its own and now this homepage problem.
As to your log request : i have already read all the information that’s on the log. I assure you i haven’t done any changes to the website nor has any change happened. I keep a close eye for changes and security. I am only using the plugin for some aesthetic customizations and other than that all settings are pretty much default. So the log is only showing the athetic customizations and the rest is sensitive information/details of the website and the p;plugins i am using. In any case i will forward you the information only pertaining to the customizations i have done. Thank you.
Hello
Since by default the register link should point to the buddypress I removed all settings, uninstalled and reinstalled twice to test if it will work, but the register link is still pointing to the home page.
Sure i can contact you in the support forum later and let you have a look at the website but the most important question right now, which will help me evaluate my options is, am i able to remove the “register” link from loginpress? If so how so i do it? Thanks
What other steps can i take to make sure the loginpress register link is linked to the buddypress page? Or is there a way to remove the link in the plugin so that i can add the buddypress register link directly to the website navigation menu?
Hello @emma24
I don’t think i have ever used your filter. It has always been the direct buddypress page. I double checked and the functions.php does not have that code you want me to remove.

Just my 2 cents simply as a user. I had also seen the link and the credentials. Clicked on the link and it took me to what seemed like the wordpress/admin login page but never went in. I clicked on the link simply to verify if i was seeing is legit or a hoax as i couldn’t believe my eyes. I think i can relate to the poster’s actions and perhaps i may have done the same thing when i was building my website. As i see it OP’s mistake was posting the admin credentials. Had he/she created a ‘user’ account in a website which is already designed and offered to the public to come in as users (not admin) then i suppose it would be ok. But posting admin credentials is….never ok. Thanks guys for being vigilant! BTW our moderator’s last name checks out 😉

In reply to: [bbp style pack] Interesting Dilemma: Single Forum as “Forum Root Index”Once i did steps 2 & 4 the 404 error is gone and i am able to see all pages/threads in the forum. However i am not clear on how to include the General as the landing page as before. It seems to me it has to be linked or pointing correctly in order to bring it to how it was? Can you tell me what changes we had made that un-linked the General Forum?
Along the lines, if the present configurations aren’t creating any problems and we have basically eliminated the 2 click problem while still using the default settings, then can we leave it as it is and not use the “General Forum”?
Whatever your advice is i could use some pictures/or screenshots to help me understand your step 3, as it stands i am not understanding how to make “General forums” the landing page.
Edit: But can you please check the website again to see if the settings are right first before we decide whether to include General Forum?

In reply to: [bbp style pack] Interesting Dilemma: Single Forum as “Forum Root Index”Sorry for that mistake and you having to see it.
The ‘forum’ at the end of of the NAV bar is the new page we had created when we did these changes. I was testing yesterday to see if that page also was giving the 404 errors and forgot to remove it from the NAV bar.
However the ‘Forums” in the middle of the NAV bar is the older page i was using before we did any changes.
In light of this information any revisions/addendums to your instructions?
