In reply to: Can't create links or change to Text modeI just realized the theme that I used is one that was removed from themeforest. It’s an older theme, I got it almost two years ago and never used it. I bet you’re right esmi, it has to be that theme. I’ll try another reset tonight and see.
I haven’t added any plugins other than Jetpack which I don’t think would be the problem.
Thanks a lot for your insight! I appreciate the help!

In reply to: Can't create links or change to Text modeSo I went with a different theme. I did a totally fresh install, new db and everything. In the regular Visual post editor I was able to create links, add images, etc. Something has messed things up again and I have to set all my links and images using the Text editor and HTML. I’m running wp 3.5.1.
Does anyone else use GoDaddy for their hosting? I’m beginning to wonder if maybe it isn’t one of their plugins that’s causing the issue. They have two that are added automatically when you use their auto wp setup. Any ideas? Thanks!

In reply to: Can't create links or change to Text modeI went ahead with a fresh install, wiped out my db and everything and it worked just fine until I installed a theme I had purchased. Now it’s the same problem.
I think I’ll do another clean install this evening and flush that theme down the toilet. Thanks for the help guys!

In reply to: Can't create links or change to Text modeI’ve tried reuploading, however I didn’t delete the old files first. I’ll give that and resetting the plugins folder a try. Thanks esmi!

In reply to: Can't create links or change to Text modeIt’s Linux. I’ve done several other WP sites and had godaddy host five or six of them with no problems.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] [Plugin: Contact Form 7] Hide unused tags in emailIs there a quick, easy way to roll back to 3.0 without losing my existing forms?

In reply to: Simple reservation/booking plugin neededI guess another way to look at it would be like an appointment calendar but doesn’t require hourly bookings.
The customer would go to the site, select just the days they want to park their vehicles for, add their name, email and phone, hit enter and it sends out an email to both customer and business.
I would rather my client not have to confirm because of convenience… he always has enough spaces available.
Thanks!

In reply to: Simple reservation/booking plugin neededThanks! That one would probably be great except I can’t get it to work with my theme for some reason (in the sidebar). Something even more simplified would be even better.
My client gets freaked out by anything associated with the web. In fact, he usually has someone check his email for him rather than deal with it himself. So what I’m thinking is one that simply emails both the person making the booking and the company. There are no limitations on spaces, at least not yet, so a very streamlined plugin would work well for them.
Thanks again for your help wpdevelop!

In reply to: Restoring backup from other folder issueWould I need to make any changes to my backup file? My backup file is pointing to (sitename.com/wordpress/) right now. I suppose it would probably make sense just to change my wp-config and everything for that, but is there something I need to leave out of my /wordpress/ folder to redirect things that way?
I really appreciate your help!

In reply to: Restoring backup from other folder issuePlease forgive my ignorance, but where are the WP_HOME and WP_SITEURL located?
when I change them, do I set them for sitename.com/wordpress/ ?

In reply to: Restoring backup from other folder issueJust so everyone knows, anytime I try to log in now it gives me a 404 error since it’s trying to find something in /wordpress/ folder.

In reply to: Is its Parent Directory writable by server?Yeah, I bumped em back to 755 so all’s good.

In reply to: Is its Parent Directory writable by server? The 777 trick worked. Thanks so much!
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Is its Parent Directory writable by server?Ok thanks. I tried that, I even tried 775 just in case but neither worked. Think this is something my host can reset on their end or is it something I need to take care of in wordpress? Could it possibly be an issue with the database I set up?
