In reply to: [Knowledge Base documentation & wiki plugin - BasePress Docs] Sticky TOCHi @grungyape,
please go to BasePress > Settings > Table of Contents and enable it. This will add the ToC at the top of the article’s body. No sidebar or widget necessary.
Then go to BasePress > Modern/Zen/default Theme and after activating the settings tick Make Table of Content Sticky.
Then use the Sticky Elements Threshold to set the position at the top of the screen where the ToC should get sticky.
If you have any problem with the Premium version you are welcome to open a support ticket from the plugin’s menu.
ThanksForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Knowledge Base documentation & wiki plugin - BasePress Docs] TOC and SidebarHi,
yes the ToC does come with a sticky/float option when used in the articles content (not the widget).
It would appear in an extra “sidebar” next to the article.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Knowledge Base documentation & wiki plugin - BasePress Docs] TOC and SidebarHi @grungyape,
The main KB page is using your WordPress theme template. You can remove the sidebar from there choosing a page template without sidebar if your theme has one or you may have to create one for that specific page.
The rest of the KB pages are rendered using BasePress templates.
The sidebar can be removed from BasePress > Settings > Appearance > Default Sidebar Position and Force Sidebar Position on ArticlesThe ToC is a premium feature and it can be seen in our site at this link: https://codesavory.com/knowledge-base/basepress/features/table-of-contents/
It can be added as a Widget in the sidebar or in the article’s content. In this last case you can choose from the BasePress theme’s settings to have it at the top of the article or floating on the side of the article.
I hope this helps but if not just let me know!
Hi @slovensko,
we have just released version 2.11.3 which adds the option to search for accented words.
After updating you should go to BasePress > Settings > Search and tick the Enable wildcard before search terms option.
I hope this is of help!Hi @slovensko,
I just wanted to say that I am adding the option to have the search work with accents as well.
This will be added to the next coming release hopefully ready within this week. Thanks
Hi @slovensko,
at the moment the only way would be to use SearchWP to power the search.
BasePress Premium has an integration for it: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/basepress-searchwp-integration/I hope this helps!
Hi @ebarboza,
looking at this again I think the issue you had with the sections was actually a bug which we fixed a week ago.
If you want to give this another chance we are available to help! Thanks
Hi @ebarboza,
if you could open a support ticket we would be happy to help you get started.
We haven’t had anyone with issues adding a section so I suppose there is a conflict or maybe you had not created a KB first.
The margins can be adjusted with simple CSS which we can provide. Thanks

Hi @plue,
I have just released version 2.11.2 which fixes the sections metabox bug.
Thanks for reporting the issue!
If you still have problems after the update let me know. Thanks
Hi @plue,
that is definitely a bug introduced in the last update.
I’ll get a fix for this shortly!Thanks
Hi @plue,
the list of sections should be loaded when a KB is selected.
If no sections appear in the dropdown menu after a second or so please have a look at your browser console for any Javascript error and your server logs for PHP errors.
If you see any please let me know what error you get so we can narrow down the cause.
Also what error are you seeing when saving the article?
Can you also share with me what WordPress and BasePress version you are using and if you use the new WordPress editor or the classic one? Thanks

In reply to: [Knowledge Base documentation & wiki plugin - BasePress Docs] SendHi @7dotmarketing,
I would suggest to go to BasePress > Settings > Comments and tick the Use main theme template option.
If the translation work well with that option then the issue is in the plugin’s files.
You could also temporarily use a default WordPress theme and see if anything changes.
Let me know what you find out so we can hopefully narrow down the cause. Thanks

In reply to: [Knowledge Base documentation & wiki plugin - BasePress Docs] SendHi @7dotmarketing,
the comments form uses the same strings used by WordPress comment form.
The translations should be coming from the WordPress POT/PO files.
I have just changed the language in my local WordPress installation and the form was translated correctly but maybe I am missing the issue.
Would you be able to send me a screenshot of the fields that are not being translated? Thanks
