Could you please take a look at the editor at the bottom left, is it in visual or text mode? If it’s in text mode, please click on the visual tab and you can edit it.

When you choose the specific post/page option, it will not automatically display on the whole website. You will notice there is a button called “Get code” at the right of the option. When you click on that, you will get the shortcode. You will need to paste that shortcode to the page/post you want the popup to appear.

If you see a blank page, it could be because you didn’t click on complete setup under the Settings.
If the visual editor tabs are messed up, it could be you have low resolution. For the best display, I’d recommend you have 1366×768 at least.

If you want to create a squeeze page, I think wp lead plus can do just fine. Do you have an autoresponder?
You can get the result you want using the plugin. Did you try downloading the plugin from wordpress and install it on your site?
