Thanks for that! I assume there is no easier or quicker way to get what I want without creating a child theme?
I just find it a bit complicated as I don’t have experience on this at all. For instance, where do I create the child theme? Just having a look at the first link you provided and I don’t really understand what or where to do that. Where do I find wp-content/themes ?

I can see that in Appearance>themes, the theme I have seems to be broken. By selecting to install again the same theme, will I lose the layout i had in the website?

Many thanks! now the dashboard is working again and it seems everything is there. Thank God! Yet i cannot access to the website.
