Hi @jooray,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Spotify does not note the itunes:owner or itunes:email tags in their documentation and, as Apple did deprecate itunes:owner, it was removed in the 11.16 release of PowerPress. We are working on a hotfix as we speak.
@macobserver that’s good to know. Let me pass that onto the team for review. We didn’t see this happening when we did our beta testing.
@joeress I don’t believe those should be negatively affected. We test both the block editor and the classic editor (via plugin) and they’ve been fine. The big thing is to not use a page builder plugin for those posts, since they like to throw extra wrenches in the gears at times.
HI everyone,
Apple has instructed us to make these changes–removing the itunes:subtitle and itunes:summary tags from PowerPress–because they will now be using only the description tag. We recommend making sure your Reading settings are set to Full Text and only use the default WordPress editor for your podcast episode posts so the best version of your show notes are displayed.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Episode Box missingHi @pageantcast,
Check the right-hand sidebar in your editor. You may find it at the bottom of the stack. If you do, you can click the large up arrow and that should place it back under the editing window.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Podcast episodes not showing upHi @mabelninan,
What is your podcast RSS feed? I’d be happy to take a look. As the error mentions, it could be a single character that’s breaking the feed. It’s been some time since I’ve seen that happen, but it does, unfortunately.
Patchstack is slow in updating their reports; our team has fixed the issue as of 11.13.8.
Our team has fixed the issue, hence the update. We’ve been in constant contact with them. Unfortunately, Patchstack has continually been slow to verify and remove vulnerability reports about PowerPress.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Media URLs not savingHi @kpk703,
Can you ensure you’ve disabled all other plugins on your site in order to isolate PowerPress as the issue? Also, trying clearing your website/server caches before and after adding the media file to your post.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] XXS & SSRF vulnerabilitiesHello, everyone.
Sorry for the delayed reply. We’ve been in touch with Patchstack regarding this and we rolled out an update (11.12.7) that should have addressed these issues. Please reach out if anything else arises.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] XXS & SSRF vulnerabilitiesHi @kgagne,
We’ve informed the development team and they’re looking into it, though we don’t currently have a timeline on the fix. We’ll be sure to keep everyone updated.
Hi Jess,
To fix this, you’ll have to reconnect your Blubrry account with PowerPress. To do so, log in to your site and click PowerPress. This will take you to your PowerPress Settings.
You’ll see a message saying Connected to Blubrry; click the link under it that says Blubrry Hosting Settings. A box will pop up and you need to click Unlink Account and OK, then refresh the page. You’ll now see Let’s Connect as an option. Click that and reauthorize your Blubrry account and select your show.
That should fix you right up.
Can you contact us directly to beta-test the next version of PowerPress before we make it live? We want to ensure that it solves the issue you’re having.
