Don’t worry Bill – I just added it to the Custom CSS window and it worked great!
Thank you sooo much for your help!

I agree Bill – very frustrating.
Can I ask one clarification please (sorry novice).

Where am I pasting this code?
When you say “adding this at least for the page you linked to” I’m a bit lost…

There is nowhere under Portfolio / Montage Example Gallery to enter css coding – just Visual or Text.

Do I paste it into the Stylesheet style.css? At the bottom?
Or into a portfolio.php or somewhere?
Or into the Custom CSS window under “Appearance” in WP-Admin?

    Thanks heaps for your help.

    Thanks Bill
I tried that and they didn’t fix it for me.

They said the theme is standard (i.e. my content doesn’t fit their format) and changing it was more involved than their standard free help services included. They told me to pay a developer to make changes to their Template…

I can’t afford to do that at the moment (I’m a startup) so I’m looking for an easy solution that I can hopefully do myself i.e. change the background colour of the caption to transparent.

Once I can afford it, I will definitely employ a developer to tweak many aspects of the theme so that my content looks & works better.

I think the problem is in the widget-func.php on line 2 (according to the error message). But when I try to enter the Theme Editor I get the error message so I can’t get to it.
