Thank you so much Serge.
Seems to be working perfectly on my website now. Will let you guys know if anything changes.
Really appreciate your assistance.
Hi, I am also having a similar issue. I use MyListing theme which uses Elementor. Two of the widgets which are integrated into MyListing (basic search form widget and explore widget) are not loading when Version 6.44 is active. I have deactivated the plugin for now and this has resolved the issue.
Could you please advise if you are still on track to have this issue solved soon?
Thanks.
I can see you have managed to subscribe, but for some reason it is still not working for me. I am interested to know whether you received the success message after subscribing before you got the double optin form.
Even if I turn off the double opt in, I am still not getting the success message after hitting the subscribe button on the landing page.
In any case, I am going to keep trying. Might even just recreate the landing page and see if that works.
Debbie
Hi,
No I am not receiving the double opt in email.
Thanks

Name of the account is Kids Therapy Corner and I am using custom forms.

Thank you David for your very speedy reply and explanation.
I have checked the 2FA settings in AIOS and it’s basically exactly the same as the 2FA plugin, so I have left it enabled and removed 2FA plugin. Bonus now I have one less plugin.
Seems to have now been resolved. Thanks again for your help.
@poppydev I don’t know if this is just an issue with AIOS plugin. I just know that when I disabled this setting the warning I was getting (when when checking the URL) in Google Search Console stopped appearing (everything was green).
I wouldn’t turn this setting off unless you are getting a warning from Google. If everything in Google Search Console is fine (no errors/warning) you don’t need to change anything.
As for SEO plugins I use Yoast, never had any issues with Yoast.
Regards,
Debbie@pmbaldha Google is now indexing my page properly after disabling the setting and I am no longer getting any warnings. My google listing is also displaying correctly and my sitemap also no longer has errors.
I do not have screenshots of the warning, because after I disabled the setting the warning disappeared, so I cannot provide this to you. Sorry.
I didn’t say that I had errors when I visited my site. I ws referring to when I inspected the URL in Google Search Console (sorry should have mentioned that). When I visited my site as a visitor the page looked absolutely fine. It actually took me some time to figure out the issue, becuase I couldn’t understand why I was getting this warning when the page looked fine even when viewing as a visitor.
Thanks,
DebbieHi Prashant,
The version I currently have is 4.4.12.
I know this thread has been closed but I just wanted to share (for the benefit of others) that the error with my sitemap has gone and is now showing a success message.
Thank you.
I have removed and resubmitted the sitemap and will wait a few more days, then check with my webhost to see when the new SSL certificate has been fully enabled.
Once again thank you so much for your help.
Thank you so much.
Yes, I just tested it too to see if there was any change, and it is no longer returning an error, but yesterday I added /categories to the sitemaps. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.
The HTTP error is still showing for the /page_sitemap.xml, but I am now wondering if this may be related to my SSL certificate, because my webhost had to revoke and reissue all SSL certificates because of a security incident which recently occured with them..
I also tested https://www.kidstherapycorner.com.au/page-sitemap.xml as a live URL and google said the page can now be fetched (it wasn’t two days ago). I think I might wait a little longer to see if the error resolves on it’s own before trying to call my webhost. Maybe there’s nothing more to fix.
Thanks again.

Thank you so much Suwash.
I do believe the homepage was screwed up by changing the slug and that’s why I created a new one. I just wish the WordPress sent me an email to help me find the issue. Just didn’t realise that there would be a problem with the sitemap too.
I’ve working on this for a week. I’ve been doing a ton of research into this issue trying to understand what has gone wrong. But it’s ok because the homepage is displaying properly now on mobile, just need to fix the sitemap, so it’s almost fixed.
On the plus side, my website is finally seeing some organic traffic since I finally figured out what key phrase I should be trying to rank for so I’m pretty happy right now.
I also didn’t realise that I was running on NGINX (probably should, but I’m still learning).
I’ll have to discuss adding the rewrite rules with my web host since I’m not comfortable with modifying code.
I’ll keep you posted on the result.
Thanks again.

After all that decided to flush the cache via my webhost dashboard instead of through WordPress dashboard.
Mobile version is now showing latest updated version of my page.
It’s also interesting that when I view the sitemap in Google Search console from my mobile. It’s still returning a 404 error, but this doesn’t happen when I’m viewing it on desktop.
I also tried reloading the sitemap to Google Search Console, but it is still saying that it can’t fetch the page. Should I just wait for Google to do it’s thing and hope that it will resolve over time?

In reply to: Background updates not working as expected. Thanks Davood.
Before I consider going down that road I want to a little more digging.
My understanding is that the files which are showing not writeable are root files and the permissions can only be changed by the owner of the files (which is not me).
Don’t really want to change hosting plans. I’ve already called GoDaddy four times in the last week, don’t really want to call them again – sorry.
I am on a Ultimate Managed WordPress plan (set up a month ago) with GoDaddy. I’m guessing that any WordPress update they get will apply to my website, so maybe it will be okay if I just leave it for a while.
Is it possible to go into FTP Client and manually enable the WP Version Check () filter?
