Thanks, @jmisic – that seems to work, though it’s not immediately obvious how you find the ‘whitelist’ option.
Hey @hcabrera ,
I disabled Shields’ ‘blocking API requests’ about an hour ago, and the Popular Posts Plugin seems to be working fine again now.
Thanks for the help!
Hiys @hcabrera
I’ll have a quick rummage around and let you know.
Hi @sixaxis
I re-wound my install by a couple of weeks, and everything works fine now!
I found the ‘Disable Optimised Media’ Option under ‘Advanced Settings’ so following this mornings update, I turned this option off.
The screenshots would be exactly the same as in the third post, with the ‘Edit Image’ button still behaving (not working) as in that post.
So ‘Disable Optimised Media’ doesn’t work either – looks like I’m going to need Photoshop to do my basic cropping as ShortPixel cannot do it.
Hey @sixaxis
I clicked onto ‘Fix ‘Now’ to activate ‘background optimisation’ or something and everything including the option to ‘Disable Optimisation on Upload’ has disappeared.
Where has this option gone to?
Or do I now need an image editor to do basic cropping?
Hi @sixaxis
Ok, so the list view looks like THIS
With the Grid View Looking like THIS
And the instuctions for WordPress editing in Grid View coming after you click onto the ‘Edit Image’ link, like THIS
(all open in new windows)
The only way I’ve found to disable ‘Images Optimised on Upload’ is to go into the admin panel and click on ‘FIX’, when the option finally appears.
Hardly intuitive and the admin panel needs a good sorting out.

In reply to: [404 Solution] Cache Files Redirect?Hi, @aaron13100
Just a quick update on this issue:
I installed WordPress Jetpack to use their CDN and bypassed Quic Cloud (from Litespeed Cache) and ever since then, there have been no jumbled up word-searches as links whatsoever.
I’m assuming then that Quic Cloud was the cause of the issue.
Thanks @adrianrus but de-activating and re-activating plugins seems to be more trouble than it’s worth, especially as I’ve just checked pagespeed insights again and the scores are all still in the 90’s.
I might return later when a few videos are placed on youtube (but NOT the one who darent show you his mobile speed) 🙂
As it stands though, it’s not for me just yet.
Hi @adrianrus
I know that deactivating other caching plugins is essential, but the other problem that I’m having is that some of my site layout goes ‘out of whack’.
So if I deactivate Fast Pixel, will my layout return to normal?
Also, if it deactivates after 5000 page views, do I have to re-activate the plugins that I deactivated?
I’ll possibly give it another go following your reply.
The ‘fast’ preset was indeed selected.
A quick point here before I even consider re-activting it:
I’m already paying for a ‘one-time’ package on ShortPixel, which has still got a way to run.
Apparently FastPixel stops working after 5000 page views unless you get another paid package.
If FastPixel ‘bombs’ my website from 2.5 seconds to 8.5+ seconds even though I’m using Litespeed servers, should I be considering re-activating it even though my pagespeed scores are already in the nineties?

In reply to: [404 Solution] Cache Files Redirect?Hi @aaron13100
I’ve got access to phpmyadmin but I haven’t got a clue what’s going off in there since my tables names were changed a while ago due to security reasons.
It’s ok, moving the cached posts to trash seems like the safest option.

In reply to: [404 Solution] Cache Files Redirect?Hi @aaron13100
I’d suggest leaving Litespeed Cache (set to an advanced preset) enabled for a couple of weeks or so, as the strange url’s take a while to appear.
In the WordPress Admin, Posts>>All Posts just leads to a list of my already published posts with no extra weird url’s in there.
At present, any posts with weird (cached?) url’s are now getting ‘Moved To Trash’ rather than finding the post that they originated from.

The ‘Recognised Post Types’ that I have are:
page
post
product
portfolio
staff
escorts
areasThe only cache plugin that I use is ‘Litespeed Cache’, which does tend to add it’s own intricacies to ‘posts’
My 404 page is a custom one and has the official 404 solution ‘tag’ (abj404_solution_page_suggestions]. to add a maximum of seven page suggestions.
This ‘Something Needs Updating’ marker is still there, even on the latest version.
Downloaded just now.
