Hi Martin,
I am glad that you want to switch more websites to Real Cookie Banner. If you want to do us a favor for support and help other users find Real Cookie Banner, please rate our plugin on ww.wp.xz.cn! Thanks π

Hi Martin,
Great to hear that you use Real Cookie Banner for most of your customers π
You are right, at the moment we only support “German”, which is “Deutsch (Du)” in the WordPress ecosystem. But we are trying to make all texts editable for the frontend in case someone prefers different wording in the cookie banner (in other languages like Spanish you would have similar problems to the German Du/Sie problem).
Which texts (in English or German) are not editable in the WordPress Customizer, but you want to change them?
I have currently only found the following text that I would assume you could mean are not yet changeable:
“History of your privacy settings” (in German: “Historie deiner PrivatsphΓ€re-Einstellungen”)

Jan
Hi Martin,
I am sorry, but I have to correct myself because I misunderstood our internal documentation. Please consider my previous answer as irrelevant.
We do not use the WPML/Polylang string translations because in some cases they are not compatible with WordPress Customizer. Therefore, we use the backend language and save the texts changed in WordPress Customizer for the currently active backend language.
Example: You are in your WordPress backend and select “German” as language in the admin bar. Then you go into the WordPress Customizer and change a text. The changes apply to the German language. After that, exit the WordPress Customizer and change the language in the admin bar to “English”. If you now go into the WordPress Customizer again, you will see all texts in text fields in English and the changes apply to the English language.
Please note that only texts depend on the currently active language. All other settings are language independent.
Tip for Polylang users: With the free plugin “Add Polylang support for Customizer” (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/add-polylang-support-for-customizer/) you can switch the language directly in the WordPress Customizer.
Best regards,
Jan
Hi Martin,
Thank you for your question. Real Cookie Banner has support for multilingual websites with WPML and Polylang, as you can see in the plugin description on ww.wp.xz.cn or on our website.
Your specific question about working with the WordPress Customizer has already been asked by another customer this week, and we will write a detailed article about it in the next few days. I will post in this thread when the article is available.
In short, an answer to your question: WPML and Polylang have no visible integration with the WordPress Customizer. So you can’t switch between languages in the WordPress Customizer to change the settings per language there. However, the multilingual plugins offer so-called string translations. You can learn more about this feature in the documentation of your multilingual plugin:
WPML String Translation: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/
Polylang String Translation: https://polylang.pro/doc/strings-translation/In String Translations you can find any text you can change for Real Cookie Banner in WordPress Custimizer. Just use the string translation tool of your multilingual tool to translate the string to the language of your website.
I hope this explanation helped for the moment!

Jan
Hi @aportmann,
Thanks for your question. In general, the built-in gallery feature is pretty simple, as you can see in the plugin. Therefore, a rel-attribute is not possible. If you need more complex galleries, I can recommend the following plugins. They have full integration with Real Media Library folders and collections, and we work with its developers for the best user experience:
Justified Images Grid: https://justifiedgrid.com/
FooGallery: https://foo.gallery/I hope with this you can easily implement complex galleries even with the extended links!

Jan

In reply to: [Medialist] RML compatibility request!Hi mauvedev,
great to see that you built the compatibility with Real Media Library so quickly. We would love to write a blog post about your plugin in our collaboration blog in the next few weeks, as this type of plugin is frequently requested by our customers.
If you are interested in improving this blog post, please open a support ticket at devowl.io/support and provide us with a high-resolution version of the plugin logo and any other graphical assets you already have.
Thanks a lot!

Hi sanghyeon,
Thank you for your kind feedback. After installation, Real Custom Post Order is enabled by default in the screen options. You can disable it manually if you want to disable the feature in certain situations. Maybe you disabled it accidentally?

Hi vagabondfrog,
we develop Real Thumbnail Generator currently on a PHP 7.4 installation and the plugin checks automatically on startup if a working PHP version is available. So an upgrade to PHP 7.4 should be possible without any problems.

Hello @myuption,
Thanks for the explanation of your issue. I understand that with 8,000 images you have a lot of images. May I ask for the
memory_limitin your PHP settings? We try our best to make Real Thumbnail Generator compatible with as many server settings as possible. In your case it sounds like you have a low
memory_limitthat causes a bug, and we would be happy to improve the software, e.g. with a note that you need more memory to process a large amount of images within the WordPress backend. We would appreciate if you would reconsider your rating, because a rating of 1 star for a problem that might be caused by your PHP settings does not seem to reflect a problem in our software.
Thanks!
Best regards,
Jan
Hi @gavin310 !
Thanks for your request.
Can you please try to navigate to the WordPress table and open the “Screen settings” on the top right corner? There you will find a checkbox to enable sorting.
Best regards,
Matthew πHi,
just a short note that Real Media Library 4.11.0 was released today. This release includes the changes explained above.
We take your feedback on the settings into account if the topic is taken up by several users. For the time being, we will not change it, as this is rarely requested.
I hope you will give it a try, and we would be more than happy if you could reconsider your rating after testing the new version π
Best regards,
Jan
