In reply to: Would like to customize some CSSI was wondering about why his comment wasn’t here. I wouldn’t mind playing around with the blockquote if I could make the type size smaller. It’s larger than the body text, which is kind of strange. As long as it was clearly marked as a blockquote, it wouldn’t necessarily have to be in italics.

- I am using the Classic Editor.
- I mean an indented paragraph, not the blockquote command, which I think is ugly.
- I’m using the WordPress caption thing — I’m not manually inserting captions.

Stef, I did reinstall Jetpack, and all seems to be well. I think my problems started when I upgraded Jetpack Boost to 4.0.0. I may wait until I see that a maintenance upgrade or two has been added.
Swish, that seems to have done it. Thank you. I deleted Jetpack, Jetpack Boost and Jetpack CRM (which I had already deactivated and don’t need). Should I reinstall Jetpack Boost?

In reply to: Numerals in commenter’s nameThank you, but according to the article, I would need to be using the Restrict Usernames Emails Characters plug-in in order to prevent users from posting comments if they have a numeral in their author name. I am not using that plug-in; nor have I restricted author names in any way.

I’ve switched to Twenty Sixteen, although I might switch again at some point if I can find something I like more. For now, though, I wonder if you might have a few more ideas up your sleeve. I know almost nothing about CSS, and I’d just as soon keep it that way, ha ha.
— If you take a look at the description line under the title at dankennedy.net, you’ll see that I used CSS to boost the size a bit, but I now need a little more leading so that the bottom isn’t cut off — maybe a pixel or so. Any idea of how to do that?
— I’ve seen a few themes where categories and tags would be preceded by “Categories:” and “Tags:”, or even by a little icon. Is there a way to add those through CSS?

I’ve been cruising all over the settings, and I don’t see where I can activate Content Options. I also see that it’s not available with some themes. Maybe Twenty Sixteen has been excluded?

But I tried signing up as if I was a would-be subscriber, using three different email addresses, and I’m not getting any of my posts delivered by email. I also don’t seem to be in the database of subscribers.
