In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Event times are off 4 hoursCalvin,
Just did a import refresh and all events are showing the correct time again.I’m assuming this is an API from your time.ly server to google.
thanks for looking at this so quickly.
it appears that the google import is using the WP general settings timezone as part of the import function. The import function shows the following message during the refresh
Selected timezone “UTC-4” will be treated as America/New_York.
Again, on every import, the events are importing +4hrs from the actual google event time.
So now on the refresh, the events are once again showing +4 hrs and displaying in the front-end as +4 hrs from the actual google event time.
I’m not sure what changed on the import or timezone function which is causing this again.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Event times are off 4 hoursNew temporary workaround – I hope
I changed the time.ly timezone to match the google calendar feed timezone (New York). All the events imported (refreshed) and showing the correct event time in the “all events” view.
I had to change the WP system timezone to Anchorage for this to work. So my WP site thinks it is Anchorage and the events are showing the correct time now. The google refresh is pulling the events and storing the events in the real time for the events.
Universal time (UTC) is 2016-06-17 01:26:55. Local time is 2016-06-16 17:26:55.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Event times are off 4 hoursHELP!!!
I have some bizarre time zone issue. As a temp workaround, I changed the time.ly timezone to Anchorage to alleviate the +4 hr issue I was having (I’m in New_York)
The WP system timezone is set to New York.
every time time.ly refreshes the google calendar feed (google calendar set to Eastern (New York)), the events are showing +4 hrs later than on google.
I have to login as the admin and set the time.ly timezone to UTC (or something) and then reset it to Anchorage to offset the time difference for what it should be.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Event times are off 4 hourstemporarily changed the time.ly time zone to Anchorage which just happens to be -4 hours behind my location (metro NY)
At least the event times are correct on the website until we can figure out what is occurring.
good again with 2.5.1
thanks @bsokic
Ben – same issue
updated to time.ly 2.4.1 and neither the Advanced nor Add-Ons tabs are working
the Adding/Editing Events url is showing – http://phillipsburgband.com/db03/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=ai1ec_event&page=all-in-one-event-calendar-settings#ai1ec-editing-events
while both the Advanced and Add-ons is showing –

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Calendar showing events from 2013if you click on the json query retrieval you get a ton of appts on certain days. Looks like repeats over and over again with a start date in June 5, 2013 – July 13, 2016; not sure if this has anything to do with it but it looks suspicious.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Won't Switch Between MonthsI noticed something similar and I think it has to do with Calendar / Appearance and Theme (light vs dark). If I set my theme to dark, I lose the arrows (although if you hoover over where the arrow would be, you see a Next Month box). If I change my theme to light, the arrows appear

correct. Reasoning is that I may be displaying information differently for a single day – “today’s events” vs. a list of upcoming events. if I had 2 calendars to group, I’d have to create 4 versions (Cal1, Cal1a, Cal2, Cal2a) so that I could group Cal 1 & Cal 2 and subsequently group Cal1a and 2a. If the grouped calendar template dealt with the layout, I could just create the one individual calendar per google retrieved calendar and use the group template to effect the display.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Displaying incorrect timeokay I went into each of my grouped calendars and changed the timezones to custom / new york and everything is aligned now. individual calendars timezones are set to “event source default” and the grouped timezones to custom. This corrected the time display on the grouped.
thanks Nick for the tough work in debugging these issues. really appreciated.
I created another test page which includes iframe calls to the google calendar(s) so that the comparison can be seen on one post.
the top 2 calendars are the iframe calls to
1 – a single google calendar – phsdirector
2 – a “grouped” calendar returning 3 calendars – phsdirector, linerbandboosters, and us holidaysthe calendars following are the corresponding “simple calendar” ids created for in grid for phsdirector, linerbandboosters, and the two grouped.
finally the same as above but in list format

Nick,
It is something in the list view. I just created a test event. I couldn’t find a way to attach a screen shot so I’ve included the screen shot on my example page.for the all-day event I created (test all-day event), it is showing properly on the grid. HOWEVER it is being duplicated on the list pages both for the individual and for the grouped.
for my calendar1 items, I’m trying to get in-touch with the google owner to check if the events are all day or based on times
http://phillipsburgband.com/db03/example-of-calendar-headers/
This is what I’m seeing in the inspection. Both all day events are carrying over to 2 days. The first (single google calendar – list) is at least showing the time correctly (just an added day on return). The grouped list is returning the wrong time
Single google calendar – List

Nick,
I went thru and checked all the configs for the individual calendars making sure all start “Today” and show events for 2 weeks. Just wanted everything to be consistent in my list calendars. All list calendars are using the Source default timezone.
cal1 = [email protected] – Calendar in google set to Eastern
cal2 = [email protected] – Calendar in google set to Eastern
grouped = cal1 + cal2I’m noticing that the time shown for the all day event on a single list is correct (although spanning days) however the time for the all day event on the grouped list is showing differently (and still spanning multiple days). There is a consistent 5 hour difference
