I came back because I found a solution. In case it helps someone else…

It seems that the problem disappears when I paste the shortcode in a “html” block in Elementor, and not in the EventOn block.

The original error looks like this

I manage to mask the code, by selecting the Search Engine Structured Data options, but the cards can’t be clicked anymore.
