Appreciate your assistance on this. We managed to get it working on our side, so we’ll consider the matter closed from our side for now and hope the process becomes more robust in future.
Thank you.
We did extensive testing across plugin settings, SSL, REST API behavior, curl requests, Apache vhost routing, and Cloudflare interaction. After a lot of debugging, we were able to make the connection work using the Authenticate option on the older version of the WooCommerce AliExpress Dropshipping Extension that had both the Secret Key and Authenticate options; the Authenticate (OAuth) option worked perfectly.
However, the new version which only has the Authenticate option consistently fails with “Error: An error occurred in the request and at the time were unable to send the consumer data.”
We also tried the plugin dev version shared in this thread but it did not resolve the issue. Could you please advise what changed in the OAuth implementation between the old and new versions that could be causing this?
Thanks for the update and dev version link.
A large portion of websites today run behind Cloudflare. At the moment, the plugin seems to struggle with completing the connection when Cloudflare is enabled, which forces us to temporarily disable the proxy and switch to a direct origin setup with Let’s Encrypt just to connect a store. This is not ideal from a security standpoint, as it temporarily exposes the origin server and requires operational changes just to complete initial setup.
Given this, would it be possible to reintroduce the Secret Key authentication option as a fallback method for environments where REST API authentication cannot complete reliably?
Additionally, the Secret Key authentication option appears to have been removed, leaving no alternative method to connect the store.
Could you please advise whether there is a way to re-enable the Secret Key authentication option, or if there is a fix available for this issue?
Thank you for suggesting the CSS conflict! That was the case, we fixed our CSS conflict, and it now works like a charm!
