You can disable multiple images (small, medium, large) in Settings-> media setting 0,0 to all images as stated in this article:

However, after setting those, still one image is being generated .. 768 Width, which is not small at all.
So, no, the image being generated is because the responsive image feature
I tried the disable-image-generation Plugin, however, this plugin just disables the display of images but not the generation of them.
I would like to disable generation on upload because I upload a lot of images and space goes out quick with this feature.
Is there any way to disable it?
