  • I have not found any reasonable answer. What I want is a line break inserted when I press the “return” key. This has worked for years and suddenly stopped working. “You want a big space?” Of course not.
I want a space of one line and if I hit the return key twice of two lines. I don’t want to mess with the css. Just as simple as when I write this comment.

(As I have said in my original posts, if I introduce paragraph and line breaks in code view they just disappear when I do “save and continue editing”.)

I have done a search again for “line breaks”. This seems to be a recurrent topic. Most people have not got any answers, other have got useless ones. “It is not a formatting problem but a css one”.What kind of help is that?

Of course it would have been nice to get to see “the necessary css”

I have this problem since week and have posted two questions without any answer.

I have had exactly the same problem but it was relatively easily fixed. In the “sidebar” file there are two lines starting with “feed:” I just removed the word “feed:” and after that the sidebar links work as they should.

This is very interesting. I found out (through trial and error, what else?) that every time I log on to WP it places something on my computer which makes it impossible to see the “label” fields above the comment form (in IE). Fortunately this is only the case on my own computer, everywhere else it is OK and readers can post comments as they should.

I have to go to “Internet options” and “delete all temporary files” in order to see the post OK with the complete comments field. It’s OK now when I know it, only a bit cumbersome.

Can anyone explain what is happening?

Thanks for trying. I had half expected an answer like this. My question, however, is a generic one and should not need any further specification.

Sinced I posted I have used the “trial and error” method and made some progress. I am not there yet but after a few days more work I will probably be abvle to do what I intended to.

    Many thanks, nevertheless.
