Gary is right in that a Status page would prevent a lot of worry – just knowing you are on the case. I am getting a constant stream of failed email notifications for dozens of sites attempting their daily backup. Knowing what is going on (as I do now having found this thread) means I can go to bed in the knowledge that it will hopefully be fixed shortly. We all know IT failures just happen, and I’m sure a lot of people will probably be working solidly on this to get it fixed, so thanks to all those involved, and good luck 🙂 !

I have decided to swap to a different plugin for the purpose of the Product Enquiry button, and the replacement works just fine without any custom settings.
In case it helps anyone, the plugin that didn’t work for me is “Product Enquiry for WooCommerce” by WisdmLabs (not updated for 1 year), and the one that is now working is “Enquiry Quotation for WooCommerce” by PI Websolutions.

Thanks for coming back to me. I have tried all your suggestions, and sorry to say the problem still persists. I have also tried with “Use static keys for JavaScript check” at both On and Auto alongside your new settings, and the same with “Use static keys for JavaScript check” at both On and Off.
Anything else I can try?

Hi,
I have also wasted hours on this, thinking there was something wrong with my Google Drive when used in conjunction with UpdraftPlus. My server ran out of space with the multitude of failed backup files not getting pushed to Google Drive and then deleted, so basically a string of chaos in the wake of this problem.
The whole downgrade idea is just as much work as switching to Easy WP SMTP, which I tried on one site, and that cures the problem. The question now, is how long we have to wait for a fix, or should I just bite the bullet and switch the other 60+ sites immediately to re-establish my backup integrity.
Is the promised fix for tomorrow also a fix for UpdraftPlus?
