Don’t have a mailer on my site. I don’t send out spam. I just want email confirmation of orders to be sent to me and the customer (as they used to be). But people keep updating WP and when that happens every time something else stops working.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Order confirmation emailThanks for the help. Just for general info, I discovered that the problem is that I’m using an email address (Optusnet) that’s not part of my website and the DMARC settings of Optusnet are rejecting the emails my website is generating. Thanks for the help it enabled me to find the cause and solution. Happy New Year …

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Order confirmation emailI have a similar query except that I no longer get any email notification of orders. I’ve checked the settings and my correct email address is showing as active. I’ve noticed that everytime there is an update I seem to lose a function.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shopfront not changing shipping chargesBrilliant, thank you … I would never have thought of that … here they are

Are these okay? The first one is the general set up page with countries to ship to. The second is the shipping zone page & the third is the shipping class page.
Hope this helps, thanks again

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shopfront not changing shipping chargesHi Seank, Thanks for getting back to me. Apparently I can’t share screenshots! I just tried to copy a screenshot to here & it appears faintly with a loading wheel icon just whizzing around and around for minutes! I click on help & was taken to an article on how to take a screenshot. Well I know how to do that, and I have done three screenshots but to load an image it says to paste the URL. Well, the screenshots are in a file and there is no URL showing for them, so I don’t know what to do except find something other than WordPress to put my website on. Sorry to waste your time.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] changing default font in Storefront without codeInteresting idea Igor. You suggest I spend $60 just to get a Google font when the font I want is already available on Storefront. All I want to do is make it the default font. This is so basic it should be part of the Storefront theme. Actually, it should be part of the WordPress package. After all, it’s a basic part of publishing packages like PageMaker.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] changing default font in Storefront without codeThanks Saif, the font I want to use is part of Storefront but I just want to make it the default font. I will check out the plugins you refer to but I would have thought that changing the default font was such a basic option it would have been included in the theme. Unfortunately, of course, the wp developers are not salespeople, they are technicians … oh well …

In reply to: [WooCommerce] getting thumbnails the same sizeYes, mark it resolved. It’s not resolved but none of the suggestions were satisfactory. The change of size you demonstrated are ridiculous; you’ve simply squashed the pictures. I suppose you didn’t notice. Obviously nobody has an answer to this.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] getting thumbnails the same sizeThanks for the response Pepe. I had adjusted the size of the major offender which was the picture of Herbs (E-F). However, it still looks bigger than the image that comes up with the product. The thing is that a lot of support answers say you can adjust the dimensions through Customise which is not true. Even if I select the ‘square’ option in Customise the pictures don’t change they look the same.
Thanks for the link to creating a topic. This seems to be the main Support page. I don’t see the create topic option on any other page … this one for instance doesn’t have that option. And if you start out clicking on Forums, three options are shown. The one on the left says Support. Click on that and there’s a blurb about how support works and there’s a thing about finding the appropriate thread but, if you’re starting from scratch how do you know what threads are available? And there is nowhere on that page to create a topic. It’s a dead end page. So, it seems that one has to hassle and add questions wherever one can until someone sends you the link to the page where you can add topics. That’s not really an effective nor intuitive navigation system.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] getting thumbnails the same sizeSo now I’m doing it again. Here is a new topic. I’d like to change the font I use in product descriptions and blog body text. Not the headings or footers, just the body text. Google the question and all the replies say go to Customise and find the Font/Typography option. Well, there is no Font option and the Typography option only lets me change colours. I know I can change the font on individual paragraphs ‘cos I do that. But it’s tedious to have to go through paragraph by paragraph and manually change the font from the default font that appears.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] getting thumbnails the same sizeNow, to your reply about creating topics, my support page … this one, in fact, doesn’t have the ‘create topic’ option. There’s a ‘search forum’ field but that’s up in the blue bit. Below that is the nav listing ‘Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » getting thumbnails the same size’ then it says ‘Howdy, esotericbookshop and then Log Out. Then some options for resolved & unresolved topics and that’s it. No indication of where I can start a topic. That’s why I’ve been adding my queries to other people’s questions.
