The only solution that worked was to kill fancybox and replace it with lytebox
I am having the same issue, I inherited the site from another developer and it needs an overhaul but for now I am tasked with fixing bugs.
When a user clicks on a pic in IE10, the page just freezes and the fancybox never opens.
