I’ve got it to work! Looks like there was a Javascript conflict. I removed a js file that wasn’t used and voila… Thanks for your time Andrew!

I see… but it seems there is no update to Thickbox or NextGen. Maybe I should uninstall it and install it back?
Ok so the only thing I’ve found out so far is that, on the English home page, the url is like
this sitename/en/
But when I remove the last slash and change it to
sitename/en
Then it shows all the images. But when I go to the other pages such as gallery (sitename/en/gallery) then the images dissappear again…
What should I do to fix this? Please somebody help!
