In reply to: [Max Mega Menu] Displaying Menu DescriptionsHi Tom, apologies for a follow-up question, but is there any way to wrap the lines of the description so they break onto multiple lines?
So for instance if the menu item was ‘About’ and the description was ’20 years plumbing experience’, could it appear like this:
About
20 years
plumbing
experienceRather than
About
20 years copywriting experienceI couldn’t find anywhere to adjust the column width of individual menu items to try and make the break happen. Let me know if you’ve any ideas.
Cheers
Frank

In reply to: [Customizr] homepage crashedThanks CustomizrLuvr
It’s all very strange. Yesterday the page wouldn’t load in Chrome, IE or Firefox. This morning it was fine in Firefox. It was still scrambled in Chrome and IE, but when I cleared out my Chrome cache again, this time it loaded okay. But in IE it still keeps loading as a bunch of scrambled symbols, no matter how often I clear the IE browser cache. Very strange indeed. At least it seems to be back in Chrome and Firefox, although anyone trying to view it in IE might just get alphabet soup, which is a bit of a bummer. Hopefully whatever is causing it will right itself, like it did in Firefox. Thanks for your help all.

In reply to: [Customizr] homepage crashedHi all
I deactivated each of the plugins in turn but it made no difference, the homepage is still screwed. Could it have been the last WordPress update that caused it? Not sure how to roll that back to test it. Scratching my head to see what the problem is. I’m running Customizr with a minimal child theme. Is it worth switching to a default WordPress theme to see if that makes a difference, and if I do so, then switch it back to Customizr, will that screw up all my Customizr settings? Any help appreciated.
Cheers

In reply to: [Customizr] homepage crashedThanks guys
I’m out at work today but when I get home later I will take your advice and try switching off the plugins one at a time (starting with Autoptimise!) to see if I can pinpoint the problem to any of them. I’ll let you know how I get on.
Thanks again for your replies and suggestions, much appreciated.
Cheers

In reply to: [Customizr] homepage crashedHi rdell
Yes I guess it may be a plugin, I use about 15-20 on the site in all. I’ve been using most of them for a couple of years without any problems, but I supposed a recent update of one of them could have caused it.
Yes here’s a link to a page that’s working, and then you can use the menu to get around the site. http://www.frankbukowski.com/howdy-2/

In reply to: [Customizr] ugly 'information' boxes have started appearingHi d4z
Yes that sorted it, thanks very much for your help.
Much obliged.
FrankHi Yorman, I switched ‘failed login alert’ nofifications back on a few days ago and it seemed fine for 3 days, I only got one alert email. Then yesterday since I updated to 1.7.5, boom, I’ve had 30 notifications. Same problem as before, all failed logins from different addresses. Look, don’t worry too much about it, it’s not your fault. Your plugin gives me the functionality to switch those alerts off, so I’ve turned off the notifications for failed logins again. Cheers. Frank.
Okay Yorman, cheers. I’ll give it a go and let you know how I get on.

Hi Mark
I know I’ve definitely got a static IP address as I pay my ISP extra for it. So I’ve already whitelisted it in my Wordfence settings. If that means I shouldn’t need cellphone author every time I sign in from this IP/computer, that’s cool. Thanks.
Frank
Hi Tim
Thanks for reassuring me on the Wordfence update.
I have a quick question about the two-stage authentication, when signing up for the Premium version. The peace of mind it would give is obvious. But if I’m logging on to my wordpress site from my regular PC at home, with a fixed IP address, would it still require cell-phone login every time? That could become tiresome. Or does it have a setting that only requires cell-phone authentication if logging on from some other computer/location/ip address?
If it has that functionality I’d be really interested in signing up to the premium version.
Cheers
Frank
Hi Yorman, I’ve had to turn the alert off for ‘failed logins’ as it was very disconcerting logging in every day to see almost a hundred alerts, all from different IP addresses, which I couldn’t do anything about.
Oh wow, really interesting to see it on a global map. Thanks for looking into it. Let me know what you decide about reinstating the IP block tool. I’ll have a closer look at the cloudproxy service, although I’m usually reluctant to re-route my site through additional servers, as the last time I did anything like that it gave me problems.
Cheers Yorman
