Hello Maciey again,
I tried to “play” with your plugin. But it seems, that I failed.
1) I activated your plugin
2) I opend my last post and got the permalink in the textbox: 2017/04/mypost
3) I changed the month from 04 to xx
4) I saved the document, viewed the preview AND got a 404 error.5) I changed xx to 04, saving … preview … and saw my post.
Question:

Is it my fault? Do I have a big missunderstanding / of the functionallity of your tool?
I’m not able so see any advantage to make the permalink changable in this textbox …

– with no warning and
– with no “ok-button”Hint:

If you want to leave this option…. make the textbox wider. from 5 cm up to 10 or 15 cm. So the whole text is viewable. No scrolling is needed then..

… “tools” where more complex options are provided. This pages can be helpfull for someone. In “Advanced – debug data” I found a post with a permalink which was manipulated by me. I deleted the date some days before… as a test without knowing whats happening and without any message that this post will disapear “forever”.After inserting the correct date
a) the post was accessible 😉
b) the field “Array with URIs” was empty again. I’m very glad now..

I don’t understand what you don’t understand. I thought that I explained very detailed. I don’t know if you are to hurry or my english is so bad. Unfortunately you don’t write, what you did understand and what was insufficient explained.
Perhaps you can’t understand the majority of my request because you are living on the opposite of the globe? 😀 Perhaps a handstand will help? Please don’t forget to turn your monitor with you.

I don’t think that it’s helpfull to insert “my” translations, because anyone else can say that this would not be the correct translation of the original. So YOU have to give the correct template and all others can follow.I’m very astonished that you are “Lead Developer @ WordPress”. I don’t know how many lead developer are in the world of wordpress… but my understanding is very much more customer oriented. Or is lead developer accurate the opposite of this?

Your recommendation to use another plugin

So much plugins and a worse search plattform. Users are able to search with a bunch of words but not to filter or group by categories. AND: with NO exclusions?
Thats ALL?i ) No classification by supported languages! (one, many, western, eastern, asia, …)
ii ) No classification by manipulation of schema of database (yes-no) (important for clean deinstallation)
iii ) No classification by “single-wordpress” or “multisite”
iv ) No classification for main groups (
– graphics,
– management,
– internal presentation for admin,
– external presentation for guest/users,
– import, export, backup,
– security,
– comfort,
– shop-system,
… and so on, and so on) … NOTHING!!!.
It’s not helpfull to select the plugins (and themes and…) by words without any further “database oriented help”. Filter via categories, checkboxes and radio buttons.
v ) classification by “being up to date” (not only check the number of wordpress) but by:
– “last update” (amount of months — seldom a plugin is helpfull whith a last update that is 3 years ago!) AND
– frequent updates AND
– successfull support requests..
ALL these options COULD be selected by YES/NO (click).
=> Provider of plugins & themes have to classify their plugin into categoeries (see above) and users could find (fast and comfortable) “A” plugin.=> Provider have to check these categories at the first presenation mandatory AND if a new categorie is invented a old plugin will be an offer ONLY if the provider updated the categories of his plugin. (thats a good way to filter plugins which are no longer active supported by the provider)
=> Provider of plugins & themes have to offer a guidance for clean DEINSTALLATION! (therefor a classification for “schema manipulation” is mandarory! (only deactivation and “deleting the files deinstallation” of a plugin is not a complete deinstallation!)

I write “A” plugin because there is another problem:

You know that I’m native german … I have to translate most german terms into english ones. I think that you know on your own, that one translation is not the same to another because the translater uses other terms. IF I search for a term that I don’t use frequently then I look into a dictionary. But there are some alternatives to choose. And then there is the possibility that professionals use a term that is not in the dictionary.The result is, that users who want to find a plugin or a theme, have to choose the right terms to find the right solution. Intentional misspelling for marketing purpose (wordplay) is on top!
It’s also not helpfull if I search “the correct term” (example FTP) if “my solution” could be found by “import”.

vii ) NO possibility to EXCLUDE special results! (If I don’t have a shop, then I’m not interested in ANY result for woocommerce and other solutions!)… this list isn’t complete. Unfortunately!! 🙁

And IF I got the first plugin … THEN I have to test ALL features IF they are suitable for my purpose. WHAT a horrible time waste! And if this plugin manipulates my database with own tables … then I have to deinstallate this plugin and try the second?

yes, you are right: I’m able to switch into english. But as I see: The english text isn’t better, than the german! Thy community isn’t able to make a better original. Do you have only two folders in your whole computer? One to block and anotherone to share? My fresh installed drive C:\ has 9200 folders … and I have a drive E:\ also!I think: a better explanation should/could explain the sense of your option. If I install wordpress on drive D:\xxx\xxx\ … then there is no explanation whats happening if I block drive F:\ and whats happening with ALL other drives. Whats with the access to drive Z? No explanaition!

– wordpress media seems to have problems to display regular windows icons (*.ico / 32×32 px) (does anybody know a solution for this part? // ‘Category and Subcategory list widget’ seems to be able to show these ‘icons’ at category-page.)
a question: should these icons displayed at any other place in wordpress?another “bug”: the format of the word “ssymbol” is not the same format a the other words in the header of the table. is this because this column isn’t able to sort?

I referr to a page in admin-mode while I create or edit a text. There I have the possibility to click some check-boxes to identify the categories of the text:
=> New Post – “category / all categories”
=> Change existing Post – “category / all categories”
AND
=> Quickedit – a Dropdown (actual 7 checkboxes)This box should be higher to get a better view. I’m using actually 45 categories and perhaps I have to create some new. 8 checkboxes are to less.
Any further information needed?

is more suitable for my intention.I’m not shure what you mean with: “just noting down your views on plugins” but if I search a specific function then I have a few words in my native language. The spectrum of translations of these few words will expand the possible list of “search-words”.
I think this will divert from the intention to find a good plugin.
Please specifiy what you mean with “any specific function”. Even if I browse for a new idea to develop my blog with this problem will appear.
