Hi, thanks for the info. What I realized was that the template I was using (Thumbnails) appeared to have been moved to the paid version of NextGEN Gallery and no longer usable in the version that was included with the purchase of the WordPress theme I’m using. I was able to restore the previous version of the plugin from a backup to get everything working again, though that of course is not going to be a long-term solution.

Looking back through other support threads I have I remembered that you had given me the following code to use in order to place the caption below the image instead of being over the image. Might this be creating the issue I’m having with the caption getting cut off?

We haven’t tested it but you can try to add the following CSS rule to “Gallery -> Other Options -> Styles” to see if it will help move the captions below the image with SimpleLightbox:

.sl-wrapper .sl-image .sl-caption {
position: relative !important;
}

I’ll have to do another backup first, as I delete the back ups from the server once I have downloaded them.

The backup did finally finish, but that was after I added an exception to a directory that contains a lot of audio files. That directory adds a lot in terms of size to the backup, but hadn’t caused it to time out before.

Hi, thanks for the response. It seems that simplelightbox is the only one that shows the caption at all. I don’t want to lose the caption, but just move it so that it is not covering up part of the image.

Would you perhaps have css code that would move it to below the image?

Thank you! That worked perfectly.

Unfortunately, that code and an adverse affect. It pushed the background image down below the footer and made the page area black.
