In reply to: Cannot change my email addresskasidya, I am having the same issue. When changing the email address and updating, I get a message that says, “Your email address has not been updated yet. Please check your inbox at e**l@g****d.com for a confirmation email.”
The confirmation email never comes.
Did you ever get your issue resolved?

Does this code need to be placed in the themes functions.php folder, or the custom.css folder?Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Updated Theme and got error messageThanks Tara.
One more question please, and I’ll stop bugging you with this.
I heard from the developer at Woothemes, and the problem with the update was on their end. He assured me it was fixed, and provided a link to download the repaired/updated theme.
My question is, do I delete the existing theme by accessing the files with FTP, and then re-installing the new updated and repaired theme. If I do this, will my website populate with all of the work, design, images, etc. like it was before? Am I correct in thinking all of my work is saved in WordPress, and should not be affected / deleted when I delete the theme and re-install it.
Whew!!! Okay, I know. That was more than a question. 🙂 I’m just fearful of deleting the theme and losing my work.
Thanks again!

If I delete the old theme, won’t that delete my website, causing me to start over from scratch?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Updated Theme and got error messageI submitted a ticket to Woothemes. Maybe they’ll contact me before much longer. Thanks again for trying to help me.

In reply to: Updated Theme and got error messageI can’t get to my dashboard to de-activate the plugins.
It was working fine this morning, UNTIL I updated the theme. Now I can only get the error messages when I try to access any of the pages on my site, including the login page.
I downloaded the theme from Woo Themes. It is the Canvas theme, and I am using a child theme called Woo Child. I thought the child theme would prevent any updates from affecting the website.
Do you think the child theme may have been compromised some way?
I really appreciate your quick response in helping me to resolve this. THANKS!!!

In reply to: [NextGEN Public Uploader] More on multiple image uploadsThanks for the reply jlevant. My problem is that I never could find any directions, or instruction on how/what to do. So I just copied the npu-upload.php code and replaced the original code with it. That changed things up a bit for me in the right direction, but it gave me an error code I didn’t understand. Since I couldn’t figure it out, I just deleted and re-installed the plugin.
Mortus Eclipse – Can you help me out of this dilema?

In reply to: [NextGEN Public Uploader] More on multiple image uploadsjlevant – I looked at your website, and would like to do the same thing to mine, upload multiple images. I went to http://binbox.io/q3o54#xHeBQEft and saw the npu-upload.php that you referred to. My problem is that I don’t know the procedure for incorporating into my site (where to go, and what to do when I get there).
I’d be grateful if an “Idiot’s How-To” would be created so that I can follow it and add the code to upload multiple images?

In reply to: all page permalinks point to one pagegovpatel – IT WORKED!!!! Thank you so much!!
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: all page permalinks point to one pageI’m afraid I really messed something up. On the “Edit Page” page, above the text editor, there was a button – “Change Permalinks”. I clicked on it and the “Permalinks Settings” page opened.
I selected “Custom Structure” and typed in “used-harleys-for-sale” and saved changes.
I thought it would just change from the shortlink to my custom link on that one page.
Now I can’t figure out how to undo it. I don’t know the original shortlink. On the page in question, there’s no procedure that I can find to just restore it back to default the way the page was created in the first place. There is an “Edit” button and a “View Page” button, but I don’t know what to put into the Edit option.
