Thanks @shresthauzwal — this was working before, so I am bit puzzled as to why it stopped working a few days ago. Was there an update that I should roll back? Do you know when the next update will be released?

I have the shortcodes defined in HTML widgets:

I was logged in as an administrator, but I get “This content is restricted!” message. When logged in as guest, I still get “This content is restricted!”. In fact, all content is not shown, regardless of who I am logged in as.

Here is the content restruction settings. You can see that I customized the message (to just be a space), and that does not work either:
