In reply to: [GDPR] Breaks Geodirectoryjust a thought, Geo Directory has an add on called GD Booster which I believe is a cache add on so it might be related to that issue – @robertellisit mentioned he had all add ons installed above.
I have a geo directory website to get ready for GDPR but haven’t started that one yet – I don’t use there GD booster though – will report back if I get any issues.

In reply to: [GDPR] No idea where to get cookie code things fromYou need to manually enter the codes yourself, you can get the codes from your web browser. Different browsers have a different menu so you will need to research how to find the list of cookies stored on your computer (google it).
I use chrome which opens settings in a new tab on the cookies page, I closed all other tabs, cleared cookies and then opened my website. I then browsed on my website using all other functions like a user would. I then Refresh the cookies page/tab and then you will see all of the cookies that your website is using and from which provide, you website will be listed (generally all 1st Party Cookies are here) then other websites will be listed like google for google analytics (3rd Party cookies).
You then need to categorise all of then an research how any 3rd Party providers allow users to opt out and save the link for each. It is very time consuming and every time you add functionality to your website like plugins you will need to double check the cookies remain the same. WordPress core are also working with plugin providers to try to get a more joined up way for plugins and the core to do this automatically but we seam to be a long way off that. The GDPR plugin is the only way to gain consent properly at the moment as far as I can see.
There are other cookie audit tools out there and some companies will do a report for you.
Add tab works by typing in the text first then clicking add tab.

In reply to: [GDPR] Emails get delivered to [email protected]The forms are so that users of your website can make complaint to you about the data you hold on them, therefore it is working correctly.

In reply to: [GDPR] Works with cache plugins?Hi,
Just to let you know that the Consent Banner “sticks” when using WP Super Cache.
I have tested it with WP Super Cache deactivated (and cleared cookies both times) and it works fine when deactivated.
Maybe the “I Agree” button can clear cache and reload the page?
Thanks for a great plugin though!
