I don’t think you’re understanding the issue. The punctuation problem is not simply with the end-of-excerpt punctuation.
For example, the previous two sentences would look like this:
“I don’t think you’re understanding the issue The punctuation problem is not simply with the end-of-excerpt punctuation”
but should look like this:
“I don’t think you’re understanding the issue. The punctuation problem is not simply with the end-of-excerpt punctuation.”
If you are understanding the issue correctly, the solution you have provided changes nothing for me.
I am also having this issue. All punctuation has been stripped from the excerpts except for commas.
