Sorry to hear about the inconvenience you had. Could you please check your extra padding or width in the “select field”? We think an extra padding was added or the width was decreased in the “select field” because of another 3rd party plugin.

Unfortunately, there is no option to set the default active slider.
We have noted the issue and taken it into our consideration.

You could change the serial of slider items by dragging and dropping in the elementor editor to specifically display the slider.
As you said you want to display slide 2 on popup loads, drag Slider 2 into the position of slide 1.

Actually, there is an addon in our plugin named Gallery Ajax addon.
You could use this addon to show all the gallery images Instead of the archive page.Best Regards,
