No, I received the same error.
All of my tests have worked. Looks like it was a corrupt database. Thanks for help and the pointers!
With the proper uninstall file, I was able to properly reinstall the plugin.
It seems to be working correctly now. I will experiment and let you know.

I haven’t manually done anything. I’m not a programmer, and would do more harm that good by trying to fix the code.
I wanted to reinstall the plug in and when I tried to delete it, I received this error message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function s2_uninstall() in /home/content/66/9716766/html/family/blog/wp-content/plugins/subscribe2/uninstall.php on line 23
Before I did this, I added a few new posts and when it sent the digest, I still have the 5 most recent, regardless of the age.
Any thoughts?

I have jetpack installed, as well as “add this”.
I’m not a programmer and I really don’t know how to dig into the code. Is there something I can check to see if pages are flagged as new or something like that?
