Well, my layout uses sections to divide content rather than divs, so none of my css targeting/layout works anymore and would prefer to not have to write additional CSS code to override this. It seems strange to force people to work around this new behaviour…?
Got hit with the same problem after upgrading the plugin – as you said turning off category removal, saving settings and then turning it on and saving again worked for me too.

[I also have the ‘Always notify admin’ option checked and it doesn’t seem to do anything… or should I say I’m not getting any notifications!]

If the filter’s not active, I don’t see the post date being updated after a drag when I check/edit the post though, which is why I initially asked what it meant.
