When using the HTML 5 player you should see your Cover Image that has been uploaded to the Feed Details under Podcast > Settings > Feed Details or the Featured Image of the post if you have uploaded an 1400X1400px square image. Make sure that you have an image in either of those places and it should replace the generic icon.

Using the SSP plugin and series feature, your Default Feed will the the feed that contains all episodes from all podcasts. You do not need to create an Everything series, just create two independent series and those episodes will be in the Default feed. Let us know if this is the solution you need.

If you prefer to use another set of badges all you need to do is not add the links to the Feed Details page for your podcast. If there is no link provided, that area below the player will remain blank.

In WordPress by default, posts are displayed in reverse chronological order, with the newest post at the top of the page. If you want to change this you have two options: you can add this functionality to your theme or child theme or you can make the change through a plugin. This plugin in the repo could help https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/chronological-posts/.
As with making any changes on your site, you will want to test these solutions in a local dev environment or on a staging site. Let us know if we can do anything to help.

Hello,
There is a known issue with upgrades to WordPress 5.2 which could be causing this error. Check out this thread for some useful suggestions in troubleshooting a fix on your site https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/the-site-is-experiencing-technical-difficulties/.
To rollback you can use a plugin found here in the Plugin repository https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-rollback/ or you can download previous releases of core at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/download/releases/. With each website being very unique due to hosting, plugin configurations and themes, it can be a bit of a trial and error process fixing items like this.
For your issue on why the player doesn’t seem to load, you need to check in your settings under Podcast > Settings > General that you have the Media Player Locations and Position settings marked.
