After playing around with the plugin some more, it appears that I may have not understood the functionality that it provides. The bell sound is working for @mentions, comments, replies & private messages as I now realize that might be all it is intended to do.

While I could use those features, my primary need is for my BP users to receive a sound notification (bell) each time a new top-level post is made in the BP activity stream (when the ‘Load Newest’ button appears at the top of the stream).

Any ideas on how to add that functionality? Thanks.

Thanks for the fix & thank you for sharing a plugin with very useful functionality, Thomas. I just gave it a 5-star rating which the plugin (along with your responsiveness) deserves.

I came in to delete this post as I purchased & installed the Pro version so the issue mentioned above with the lite version can no longer be replicated. I’m still working on configuring the premium version so I’ll mark this one as resolved & submit any questions/issue that I have as a support ticket under the paid version since I don’t have the option to delete this prior post.

Thanks for the reply & the heads up about the increased demand on the server if I were to set the plugin to use word matches with case sensitivity.
I did change the plugin settings to force case sensitivity shortly after posting my question & found that it works but with some issues which I’ll report as a bug fix under a new thread in this forum. Basically, I am able to return case sensitive word matches with the lite version but with a bug/extra step involved which I’ll explain in the other thread.
I also plan to purchase the premium version as well as I like what I so far. Thanks again.

Thanks for sharing Joy. Does that mean that ATB+ could pose a security risk to my site?

Also, do you know if there is anywhere that I can download the plugin. I’ve been using Auto Thickbox Plus on my site for years & have yet to find any other image viewing plugin that has the same features that I like in ATB+.

I know it hasn’t been supported in years & seems to have been long pulled from the WordPress plugins library. I’m setting up a new local site on a new PC and would like to install the plugin as I’m not sure how or if I can transfer or download it from my live site. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Alimir,

You pointed me in the right direction. I paused Cloudflare (temporarily bypassing all caching & other features) & the icons displayed correctly. I resumed Cloudflare & so far, the icons are still loading properly. Hopefully that might help others using Cloudflare or another CDN.

Thanks. If I didn’t already leave you a 5-star review, I will now.

I just realized that the missing icon issue only occurs when I am logged in as either an admin or registered user to my site. The icons are missing when logged in using Firefox, Chrome & IE but show up on all 3 browser when logged off. Any ideas?

Yes, I use Cloudflare as well as caching plugin. I cleared the cache from my plugin (WP Fastest Cache) as well as my browser cache but did not do anything with Cloudflare as I’m not sure which individual files to purge.

I had changed the WP ULike settings from an icon (thumbs up) to a link (Like) until this is resolved but will set it back to an icon until you advise the next step. Thank You.

Here’s the link to my site: https://rightsideofthechart.com/

Not sure if I need to start a new thread as this was marked resolved.

The like icons (thumbs up/down and hearts) have disappeared since taking the most recent update today. I’ve cleared my browser cache & tried various configurations in the settings. The functionality works: I can click on the blank space where the icon should be & the like counter to the right is there & does register the like.
If I activate the custom style & select a color for the button, that color is displayed as a box where the icon should be. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I understand, thanks for the quick reply Henry. I have read your explanation in the link above & even shared it on my site for my users

If you (or anyone here) is aware of a plugin that would allow BP users to block all posts & commentary from another user please let me know. Thx.

Same problem here, I’m guessing it might be a systemic issue with the plugin that needs to be fixed.
Just spent several hours building my first pricing table, made it all the way to the very end. Needed to simply change the text in the footer buttons. First one, no problem as I typed in the new text before deleting the text that was there by default.
Second button I deleted the text first: Button vanished, no option to paste or type in any text as clicking anywhere in that area does will not activate a cursor.
Please let me know if I’m missing anything here. On a related note, an undo button would be a HUGE plus for this excellent plugin. 5-stars if I can fix this issue without having to spend hours recreating a new table.

Thanks for your feedback Henry. I’m using the Suffusion theme. I might normally try switching to Twenty Thirteen to disabling all of my many plugins (already disabled as many as I could without risking some issues) but I’m starting a paid subscription service in 3 weeks & can’t risk messing anything up on my live site. I recall losing some configurations/settings once after temporarily activating one of the Twenty-something themes on my live site. Working on setting up a new local site after my previous one died with my last HDD crash due to a Windows 10 upgrade. Thanks for your thoughts.

Deactivated BP Mute & the issue continued. I can actually see the dropdown menu appear briefly while the activity stream page is loading so I think it might be due to some jQuery that my programmer recently added to change a few things within BuddyPress. Has to be that or the recent BP update, most likely the former vs. the latter.

Thanks for your help & quick reply. Sorry I didn’t think of disabling the plugin before posting the issue here. You can mark this thread resolved as the issue was not related to your plugin.

On second thought, that will happen for sure if I uninstall & installed the previous version so disregard my last question. I’m also in the process of trying to restore my local site which had recently had some issues so I deleted it & installed a fresh copy of WP & Xampp on my PC. I’ll try troubleshooting form there first if I can get my local site restored. Thanks for the quick reply & suggestions. I’ll let you know if it appears that the issue is related to your plugin although it’s probably not.

I thought about doing that but was afraid that any members that might currently be muting other members would lose those saved mutes. Do you think that will occur if I deactivate & reactivate the plugin?
