It turns out it was a problem with varnish. There are some rules in that file that depend on the path “login” or “admin. I just needed to add the new path to those rules.
Yes I can log in fine when HMWPGhost is in the “Default (unsafe)” state, or disabled.
I can log in just fine when login is set to “login”.
For example, this works:
Admin path: summit-admin-panel
Hide wp-admin: yes
Hide the new admin path: yes
Login path: login
Hide wp-login.php: yesI’m able to log in if I browse to /login, and everything works fine because it uses wp-admin for the admin path, despite the above settings.
However if I browse to /summit-admin-panel, I get a login screen (Which I don’t think I should!). If I log in, it loads the admin dashboard but it is broken — going to the plugin list or HMWPGhost results in a server ‘File not found’ error.
If instead I use a custom login path, that results in the cookie error or alternatively I have also witnessed it just refresh the login page and not log in.
Update: Purging all W3TC caches solved the problem for me.
I’m having the same problem. I cannot get the wizard to close.
So I didn’t change anything on either of the sites, and didn’t do anything in the plugin settings or on DropBox, and suddenly both started succeeding in copying to DropBox. Very strange. I don’t know why it started working.
