We had no other widgets to have conflicts with.

That is what we do. But, then, on clicking on the little triangles to edit, we see a line stating “There are no options for this widget”.
This must be a bug of the current version, since we have done this before with no prob.
What can we do to solve this?

I’ve updated all plug-ins, including the WP version. The same keeps happening, with the blank page. Can’t figure out the problem.Now, I’ve anyhow rolled back to WP v4.4.3, since other plug-ins were having trouble with the newest WP version. Problem always present.

Even if the page is password protected in that way, the images inside it are accessible through their their direct urls.

I was unfortunate to use the same image as that used for the backgroud. I should have chosen another.
