Nevermind, I’ve chosen to just put the banner across the footer instead. Musch easier to manage.
I swapped out the SEO tool I use from Yoast to Rank Math, and all the problems were resolved!

@soberbanda , I followed all the steps in the sitemap article, but still can’t get the search console to accept it.
Thanks for forwarding that through @soberbanda but unfortunately it didn’t help. It appears that thread never reached a resolution?
